Most voters care about tax budgets, education, health care, and I do too, but what about poker! I wonder who to vote for in the november elections. What representatives are pro poker? We wouldn't want what happened to Washington State to happen every where. I'm most concerned with California. What do Meg Whitman, Carly Fiorina, Barbara Boxer, Jerry Brown, etc think of poker? Have they made their opinion known?

In general, Dems are more favorable to poker.

how is it that my representative voted against poker rights, yet has taken action in favor of poker? Lol

Very very cool link, thank you for sharing.

But beware of Barbara Boxer. She one of a few Dems against poker. Talks about if as if she knows very little about it. But I can't vote for Carly Fiorina either, since she shipped most of the HP jobs to China. So I guess some poor unknown and unlikely schmuck is gonna get my vote for Senator in CA.

Meh. Poker as a decisive item for your vote is fine in the primaries, imo. But in the general election, it should really be about the economy and other major issues.

Also, please vote democrat, because if the republicans get back in control, it will be disastrous for the US economy, and really bad for the world economy as a whole.

I have to agree with Belgo here. Voting for someone solely on their stance on poker, while ignoring other issues is a bad idea, imo.

But I have to disagree with voting solely along party lines (if that is what I am to take this statement to mean). I think that that can be just as detrimental. Do your homework on all candidates, and vote for who/what makes sense regardless of party lines (fwiw, I am neither Republican nor Democrat).

In principles i would agree...

but...

your congress is highly partisan. And if you look at the voting records, the leftmost republican votes more to the right than the rightmost democrat. In that context, voting along party lines actually makes a lot of sense.

Also, fwiw, your congress is highly partisan because the republicans moved wildly to the right while democrats essentially moved neither right nor left. Obama healthcare is actually quite similar to what republican Richard Nixon would have done if he had gone to the end of his mandate.

I really feel for the guys in the USA and the problems which online poker seems to cause. We are a bit spoiled in the UK on this subject with no real restrictions. Good luck guys I hope you get all this sorted out soon.
