Excited to see it but I am a little surprised that it won't be a 2+2 publication. I remember hearing that back a little bit but figured that it may work out as they finished the writing but I guess not.

How is it that you haven't read PNL yet? Although it's concepts wouldn't be anything new to you it still serves as a great refresher especially on the importance of stack sizes and planning your hand.

Yeah, I've skimmed (not fully read) PNL v1 and, while there ARE a few unique concepts in it, it seems mostly basic. I'd say "NLHE: Theory and Practice" is better for intermediate players (reading it now). But I DO plan on getting PNL v2 since Ed says it will be more advanced.

Oh shit, I was always under the impression the fpp store didn't have pnl, but they do. Now I'll have elements of poker and pnl to go through, yay :)

You'll enjoy PNL. Elements of Poker may change your life.

Huh? Tell me a little bit about "Elements of Poker". I may have to get it, too.

Little bits of wisdom from Tommy Angelo. The best book on the mental side of poker imo (I've also read The Poker Mindset). Go here and read through some of the content to get an idea of his style and feel for the book: tommyangelo.com - Table of Contents and many excerpts. #96 Fluctuation is one of my favorites. Don't expect any actual hands or HA, that's not what it's about.

This new book should be awesome. I haven't read PNL but have read NLTAP and loved it.

PNL touches on a few things better than NLTP. I have recently read and am rereading both. I think PNL is much better for its planning the hand, commitment threshold and its SPR sections. NLTP is a great 30,000 foot view of NLHE as a whole, imo.

PNL=teh nutz, imo

out of all the books I've read, it's probably had the most impact on how I play. I've sooooooooo been looking forward to this.

Really? Aww crap. I have PNL V1 on my shelf. I've skimmed it, but I was hoping to avoid having to read it. Now I guess I'm gonna have to. :cool: :cool:

That book is 2000 FPPs in the store. Basically I cash in 45% of the 210fpps which give me $10.90 in cash after I sell the T$.

So basically I am looking at cashing in 4 (we'll take a bad-case scenario) look, I am looking at ~$43 in "real" money

OR

$19.77 on Amazon ...

There are benefits of "no headaches" of just ordering it from the FPP store ... still ...
