I play sit n go's all the time; love em. I recently started playing on PS again and got involved with these "Double or Nothing Turbo sit n go" games. From what I can tell... I do no better than break even on these games. And I played alot of em. Played 2, 5, 10, and 20 tables. It's attractive to me because it's half the rake and appears to be easy to make the top 5 out of 10. But, in the long run I think that it's better to play regular sng's at normal rake.

So, I wonder.. are any of you making a killing at the turbo dub noth sng's on Stars? And, what do you think the winning strategy is for these games?

I used to find spreads like that more attractive when I was a weaker player and did not have a strategy for going from five-handed mid-game to surviving the bubble, but now that I can consistently make 1st or 2nd in SNGs I usually make more money for less rake that way.

These are, however, the BEST SNGs for beginning players as they can practice their mid-game without losing it all on novice mistakes. I just got my buddy started on them and he loves them now, but we will see if he feels that way once he starts making the money with a dramatic chip lead over everyone else only to earn the same reward as the guy who could barely hang on.

I personally like sng. Maybe that is because I am weaker player. I don't know. I just feel like I have a better chance to get a return.
