I had a small balance there and decided to play it off about 6 weeks ago. When I logged in, the balance was zero. I contacted support, and they said that because the account was dormant, they CLEARED the balance! Nevertheless, they agreed to recover it.

Today I login, and the balance is zero again. I contact support again. And here is what I received back:

The terms and conditions states the following: The player acknowledges that poker room management may close any poker room account which is, in its sole opinion, undesirable or dormant for a period of 6 months.

So basically if you play there, you have agreed that management can confiscate your funds at any time just because they felt so. Or that they will confiscate your funds if you don't play for 6 months.

If you have any money there, you better move them before it is too late.

Yet another crooked site.

Thats some total BS there. Yeah I wont put any funds on there thanks for the heads up. You all remember canbet.com my next door neihbor Kirby won his way through a 4 stage qualifier and into the finals of the 5 million dollar online tourney which was the biggest online game ever. Right after he qualified the sent him a email and of course the ticket buy in for 5000 wishing him good luck in the final game. During this was the time with all the US law changes with online gambling. The day of the tourney I go next door to watch him play it and he tells me that they will not allow any US players to play in the finals due to new laws in US. I was like well atleast you got the 5k ticket to get your money with. Wrong!!! they never gave him his money he earned and they cutt off all ties with US play and closed out all US accounts. 5k lost and a chance at financial freedom what a common group canbet is. He has not played poker online since and I cant say I blame him after all of that mess

Thankfully, I only had $2 there. But I cannot possibly play there and keep any significant money knowing what their policies are.

I specifically asked them if they had any rules regarding the amounts involved. They refused to respond. The only concrete response I ever got from them was the one I quoted in the original post, which basically says that they can close your account whenever they wish to.

This is why I posted this thread to warn any people who may have a significant bankroll there.

Wow. That really sucks! :(

If it were up to me, I would like to see poker sites being regulated like banks and other financial institutions. Some people have more money at poker sites than in their bank account. The lack of ANY security is terrible for players and, ultimately, for poker sites as well as the case with your friend shows.

Can you imagine if management at your bank decided that you are "undesirable" and closed your account? Or because it is dormant, they reset the balance to zero?

Pokertime isn't getting much customers anyway since it got banned in the U.S. At least bodog bugs the hell out of you with reminder emails when you haven't played there in a while.

I never liked that site anyway, I was going post something about it but seems you covered it, they used to have $1000 free rolls 4 times everyday, then they cut them to $500, now you can only play in one free roll a day at 10 am. all the other free rolls require you to make a least a $20min deposit every 6 months AND play at least 1 raked hand per day be played. Glad I have a zero balance there, what a load a crap that they start making all these restrictions on their site, they have to know people are going to get pissed and leave, now their free rolls went from 12000 ppl to 500. Personally they dont have jack crap to offer compared to the other sites.

I've honestly never heard of this site.....I don't know if your money was freeroll winnings or if you deposited. To me, it makes a difference, albeit a small difference.

I've signed up to a couple sites I don't know a whole lot about.....Pitbullpoker(they give 5 or 10 free dollars) Cakepoker (I've yet to play a hand there) but for the most part if I don't hear SOMETHING about a site on CC I won't be depositing.

Old thread, but

PokerTime is a Microgaming/Prima Room backed by one of the stronger gambling groups Fortune Lounge (owns 7 Sultans and Royal Vehas Poker also as well as about 9 online casinos). Also, PokerTime allows US customers except those from a couple states.

I cashed out somewhere over 200K from royal vegas and the site they moved me to PokerTime and they are always giving me $100 or so when I dont play for awhile....

SO I dont know what happened here..but it is a good site

Vegas Poker 24/7 did that to me. Luckily, it was only 16 cents.
