Has anyone noticed that the games are crazier and looser over the Christmas holidays. I was doing pretty well up to Dec. 20 and then have nosedived. Is it short term variance? I hope so.

Yes, I am a small stakes player, so situation is even worse for me.
Several hands I look back at and say "how could he have possibly called that raise, and how could he possibly hit that 2-4 outer"

But then I realize, I have been making my money off these people, they just weren't hitting quite as often. I just think with the holidays, an infusion of bad players increased my chances of being rivered/sucked out on.

So I soldier on. I don't risk a substantial amount of money anyway, and though its annoying not to hit my target for the week, I am still profitable overall.

Just more recreational bad players/donks flooding the poker rooms over the holiday period.

I find the same thing on weekends, that there are more bad players out there. These are the players that are having a few hours of fun play, but never improve their game.
