We all know that a donkey(in poker terms) is a player/s who play poor aggressive poker and gets lucky.
I would like to change the term from donkey to monkey.
It just makes more sense to me as a donkey is incapable of holding cards as opposed to a monkey.
I also think a monkey can be taught how to play poker, but will play poorly as it would never grasp the concept of poker maths and therefore I would like to change the term from donkey to monkey.
What do you all think?

I like it, but I think donkey (and fish) are a bit too entrenched in the language of the culture to make a full replacement.

Some people already use the term Monkey when referring to bad players like described in the OP.

For instance STT learning video series by Marty Smith. He classifies players using holdem indicator and classifies the fish or donkeys as Monkeys.

I'm pretty sure it's because donkey=ass. Just general English language insult (slightly cleaned up), not because they play like an actual real life donkey.

"Oh, man! You're such a monk!"

"Only a Monk calls with that hand!"

"Hey, Monk, Maybe you can get Captain Stottlemeyer to teach you how to play!"
