Doing really good on tournaments but. .

I am having fantastic tournament results its almost abnormal tbh

I didn't have enough money to put into intertops and bet online ($25 minimum)

So I've been playing freerolls, I've won some tournament tickets and a $20 free sports bet from intertops but haven't made it into the cash prizes (1-3)

I've placed 5th and 6th

On bet online they have me a $5 credit for a problem I was having

So I enter a $1.10 tournament and place 3rd which is only like $12.50 or something

Then I play sit and God and lose some money and heads up and I win a little lose a little

I didn't want to stake my $12 on tournaments cause their are so many people and I didn't think it was logical

I play a free roll and place like 7th($3.60)

Another and win a ticket

I am doing crazy at tournaments and not too great at the other games

I only have $8 now because of sit n gos

I was thinking about playing a $2.20 tournament or something tonight cause the prizes are so low on the cheaper tournaments

But I didn't think it was possible to place so consecutively in tournaments
The last one I just played I had 180,000 chips but some dude in 1st had over a million

He kept going all in and you gotta call sooner or later as the antes we're going up

He ended up losing his stack but he got me 1st for the 7th place finish

Anyways I've always heard you need a bankroll of at least 100 buy ins but I only have $8 on the site but if I'm doing so good shouldn't I keep playing?

Its the only bankroll I have

If I win the shark week tournament that won't be a problem lol but I'm sure its much harder

The last tournament had 569l8 people the big one has over 2k I believe.

But apart from that the other freerolls and small cash tournaments pay so low

Any thoughts?

Win the small tournaments to build your bankroll, then enter bigger ones. The 8:45 $2.20 heads up bounty tourney on BOL is full of fish. I usually have my money back by 9:30.

I actually sucked at the bounty tourney lol

But I was also distracted, everybody at the house has been bitching while I'm in the middle of my games

I could just suck at it though idk.

I've never played a tourney like that but it was fun as hell.

The smaller buy in mtts I do exceptionally awesome in.

Last year I wasn't doing anywhere near as well as I am now.

funny, that with me is the opposite, freerolls is almost impossible for me, and other buy-in tournaments are not so hard to reach ITM

in your case I would play small tournaments to make your bankroll bigger

play on and try to win, I wish you good luck in a good bankroll, try to play good tournaments with - knocking out players, it is very good to get money in the bankroll immediately after knocking out participants from the tournament, so good luck with the tournaments!

I think you taking good places in freerolls because you dont worry about your money cause its free and you risk more.
When you buy in with your real money, you become more carefull and fold too much.
Try to play money tournament just like freerolls, dont afraid.
If you will try to pla KO's, dont hunt for bounty, just play.

I've been doing pretty great at freerolls and small buy ins. The sit n gos and stuff like that is where I lose my money :/

I've been placing in small money tournaments as well actually haha

I haven't ever entered a big buy in tourney.

Sit n gos are where I lose money lol

i play tournements when i have time, mostly i play only games in and out.

Its great that you are winning, but your sample size is not significant and your risk of ruin is extremely high playing with 3.6 buyins.

I also won like 7 Freerolls last week but the only thing is I'm how higher buy ins are.

I feel you on that I figured the same but I don't have any money so imma try lol

But I do understand where your coming from
