I remember a spate of games back in the early 2000s where i chose the wrong games and as a result either ran deep or lasted a considerable time and ended up going to bed after 3am..after a week of this, i found it really difficult to get to sleep as my pattern had been disrupted, it took me 3 weeks to get back to some normality, i vowed from that day never to play a regular run of late games...
When I first started playing poker it was just awful I could not sleep at all I was just thinking about poker about combinations and how much money I could win ... Now I don’t have that, I just play for fun!
It causes me not insomnia at all about the games, that I play.
But sometimes I too late in bed because of poker, either because I am playing too long or I am railing some team mates too long.
Or just at all I am reading to long in Cardschat.

If you play late and before the game used to go to bed on time you can break your sleep and get insomnia . A person who is overexcited shortly before sleep can also suffer from insomnia. You should limit your poker game. Otherwise, you will have to be treated later.
Well, maybe if you worry and worry a lot, you can get insomnia, I try to relax after each tournament session or distract myself with something else so as not to think about losses and losses!
If you play after work till late in the night and you need to get up early in the morning frequently this can definitely disrupt your normal cycle of life. If you plan well your games it should not be a problem.
Poker itself does not cause insomnia, what may be occurring would be some health problem.
Anxiety, depression and fear itself can cause insomnia. So read my post on the link to see how important it is to take care of your health to develop good poker.
I've also had some sleepless nights playing poker. Sometimes you get a tournament in the evening and you end up doing well, but the same tournament will end almost in the morning, and if you're doing well in a tournament, it's not just sleep that goes away in me, particularly until the hunger passes . Good luck at the tables my friend.
Its probably from staring at computer--eye strain. Just give yourself an hour of not staring at computer or TV before you go to bed and I think you would notice a big difference.
in my opinion, when a person plays poker for money and there is no exact mode of play, there is a tendency to overwhelm mentally and this is not good in the long run and some of the problems are insomnia
Hello.
I also sometimes have insomnia.
Try to meditate at least 10-15 minutes a day.
Meditation always helps me to normalize my condition in such cases.
when I started to play, incredible as it may seem, when playing in the night and going to bed, I could not sleep thinking about the hands that I missed and the hands that I lost in tournaments, and that made me sleep too. Nowadays, no more, with experience in the game aligned with the studies, I know that everything that happened was normal, so I sleep much more quietly
