Does anyone play poker for a living?

I've been playing poker for about 10 years now and it's a lot of fun and a big part of my life, but I would never rely on it as my only income mechanism.

Is there anyone out there who does? And if so do you play both live and online and how much have you won in each?

If poker income? So you're a good poker player. I can't say the same.

I am not playing for a living yet but my main goal is to be my main and only income some day. It is something I love doing and I would have more free time for me and my family.

I know my friend play poker and he livnig juste of poker doesnt have other job,and he earn every month money like someone earn doing his job.....

Life is short one - so hurry up by every second !

I am not relying on poker as my main income but I am approaching that level. This month earned 250 EUR. I believe I could do better next month and eventually reach a level where I play professionally.

I used to play poker for most of my day when I was in college and it was how I was paying for my tuition and my day to day needs. Then pokerstars got closed down and I stopped playing poker for years bc of this and now I am terrible lol. But I used to be able to live off of poker, so it is definitely obtainable.

Thats what i want this year,i will make a deposit soon of 30 $ and try to make it to 3000$ untill summer,July-August ! i will make a thread here when i start to show my progress

Out of curiosity...you live off online play? Are payout processes stable enough to do this? Always been curious about that for USA players

I play poker to make a living, and not be dependent on anyone, and it is also a hobby for me: D

I for myself, I can say that I can not live from playing pokerI think it's too much for me,I play only the free roll tournamentsI think I dont have enough knowledge and luck to play the bigger moneyso it is better for me to play only free roll tournamentsCongratulations to all who live by playing poker,for me it is too much to earn from playing poker about 700-800 dollars a month, my monthly cost is about these sume of money

I do not live on poker but I can say that the payment is safe and on time.

I like to play for pleasure But I think if you study and if you persist it can become like any other job.

I play for 4 years and has become a source of income. It's the biggest strain income that I have, my job in IT gives me no more than $ 700 per month and in good poker win today more than $ 500, so it's bn. Although I have a pretty good poker win, not quit the job, to go further and see my job my way. I'm not really have the time to play live poker and online job unfortunately occupies me all the time and do nothing on holiday to relax. I do not play poker, simply relax is very important.

i've tried, believe me and i was doing good acutally until i've decided i could try playing it for a living. If you sit at the table with that thought on your mind, you are bringing two more pals with you - pressure and nervousness. And you don't need that. That's just personal experience i thought it was worth of sharing, you can at least think about it...And i do think we should all play it for fun, cause when the things get serious, game is not interesting anymore
