Yeah I get what you mean. I can "abuse" players online easily (be the bully) but it seems harder live.

When playing live, I am very friendly even when someone with rags beats me. When I become very friendly with someone, people will flip there cards for me to see and talk about hands they are in. That is when it pays off.

In terms of playing, I can't recall ever really playing differently live or online in terms of feeling bad towards raising or stealing or whatever.

I thought you actually meant by insulting players, slow rolling etc because I was going to say it's because you are safe behind a monitor so it gives you that extra "bravery" of being able to insult someone. It probably doesn't come down to you feeling rude or caring about their feelings, it's simply because in live games you will likely be scared of any confrontation where as online, this wont happen so that's why you find it easy. You usually find when someone comments on your play, insults you online or slow rolls or whatever; that most of the time - these guys wouldn't say or do, or say anything to anyone in the real world.

Keyboard warriors I think they are called.

Doubt JoeShowdown would fk with me in a live game... but online he feels compelled to (actually I'm fairly certain he wouldn't admit that he is 'the real joeshowdown' LoL)

OP, there have been times while playing online that I have felt bad about stacking another player while on cash tables (I've even sent some of them their buyins back to them (100bb via p2p transfer)). It's a weak point for me... I sit there staring at my monitor & I think about the poor sap sitting behind his desk, (prolly in his Mom's basement) licking his wounds when I knew he never stood a chance to begin with. How can I feel good about taking his money... especially when he's practically handing it over to me?
Believe it or not, this was one of the reasons I chose to play 'tournament play' for the most part (didn't feel bad knocking them out of the game).

In live games (at least the ones I play in) I don't feel bad at all. Instead I actually very much enjoy punishing any & all of them (I play in some games made up of mostly idiots - - 'idiots' meaning > guys who have lots of money, are terrible at poker but have no clue that they're terrible. Many (most) of them have obtained their large sums of cash via illegal means (< which is another reason I enjoy relieving them of it... they are jerks!).

your right theirs no love lost playing in a sit n go or a cash game online ever .
But on the contrast if im on a table full of arrogant or cheeky players I hold no sentiment and confrontation is cool because there wont be any fallings out but when its the other way around and I had been getting on with the guy next to me and he had chatted alot showed me one or 2 of his hands & I knew I could just raise his blind every hand without response thats more difficult

Haven't seen JoeShowdown in a while. I kinda miss him, lol

Sending their buy-in back, I think, simply means that you are a very good person. When it's hard to win anything off the regs, we all rely on these saps for the profit. I've never sent any back (that's not a brag  )

I think it's easier to bluff online than it is live, but other than that I try to play the same.

I think it is easier to cbet online than it is live. I find that more people just call live so it is hardier to cbet when you dont hit and there are a number of players still left in the hand.
