Does anyone know why you can see hole cards of an opponents called+mucked hand in the hand history even when villain mucks?? I mean this is the live equivelent of a dealer turning over your cards when you call a bet on the the last street and lose????

Yes, because it is a rule in live poker that you can request to see any mucked cards after showdown. This rule was instituted to combat cheating, but it is very bad etiquette to envoke it live. To do so would suggest that cheating is suspected. I think online poker sites show the cards automatically to freely present that there is no cheating.

This situation ONLY happens if a players goes to showdown. If the first hand shown is the winning hand, the others will normally not show on the table, but would be shown in the HH's. If you fold to a bet on the river, and do not go to showdown, your cards will not be seeable.

Absolutely correct on both counts. Live and online.
