I am wondering if they do know ,or if you keep it in quiet because you don't want to be criticized...

I don't talk about it regularly but, if the topic comes up, I will be honest about it.

In the past, I worked for a small company where we actually had a friendly poker night as a team building exercise. It was pretty low-key, but competitive toward the end. No buy-in, the company put up cash prizes, food and beverages. The early stages were set up so those who were newbies could learn to play.

It was quite a bit of fun but definitely could only be done in a very laid back company.

Hello.
My colleagues at work know that I am playing poker. Honestly, they are very dissatisfied. And sometimes I do not even start to work because I play poker during the day.

I don't bring it up. However, when the topic of going to casino comes up, and what not I do say I prefer to play poker. That's how it comes into topic usually. I don't care if they say anything about it.

Yes they know about it. Most of them do not play but respect my position because they know me too well and know that i am not a gambler and will not do anything that will threaten my ability to work or my finances. I am happy that i have such colleagues but if i had to work in another company i would not mention it for some time before i am sure that they will accept it correctly.

Some of them yes. But usually. I am not sharing that information. Not everyone can be polite and tolerance with this...

Keep the head down in work do the honest hard days work for honest days pay avoid the office drama if possible hard I know as every workplace has its drama Queens some know yes others gamble on horses who cares work is for working.

What you do off the clock is nothing to concern colleagues or your employer once it is legal of course,
People criticise morning noon and night leave them to it would not concern me if I was you I would clock in do my work go home
and not care what others are criticising about.

I don't think anyone at my current job knows, but they may -- I just don't remember if it has come up. I had played a small amount before my previous position, but at some point I got invited to a home game run by one of the more senior people in a related department and enjoyed it a lot. It turned out that about half the people at his home game (including himself) had either played for a living, to pay for college, or for significant supplemental income before. It was an awesome group and the only reason I'm decent now... I do kindof miss it. I am kindof glad no one in that group was working directly with me though -- I know two of the people were in the same group.
