Do you use music in live tournaments or online to focus?

Do you use music in live tournaments or online to focus? Or is it just distracting ?

I am listening to music basically all the time. But I am not a big fan of using headphones while sitting at a table with other people. I understand that it can be helpful at live games but Im alittle oldschool and think its disrespectful.

Depends how high the demand is. If i'm 1 tabling I find music helps to keep me engaged, if i'm 4-6 tabling then I need silence so I can focus fully.

Music helps keep me in a good mood (or to control my mood) during long grinds.

I've noticed that music changes the rhythm of the game sometimes.

Live... If the table is quite, however if we have a chatty cathy then I will listen for tells. Sometimes I'll have my earphones in and off or really low so I can hear the conversation and take down mental notes on various players and the hands they played.

When I play for a long time to regain concentration (usually at play in the tournament) has to include music! This is for me the most neutral way to get back in the game!

No I do not listen to music because it detracts from the game.

Online always. Every time i play poker online i have music on. No exemption. Live i never do it. Its more fun and easier to read someone when you speak with them at the table.

Of course, it depends on your mood. Usually music helps me focus. I prefer classical music.

playing online I listen to music relaxes me, in a matter of focusing it does not affect me at all, neither benefits me nor affects me

When I'm playing online I try do another thing between hands to reduce the mental fatigue. But most of times i'm not listening music.

Music helps when playing poker it relaxes a person but doesn't work for everyone

Sometimes i can use it for sure. But on other days i need to focus all myself on the game.

I like to play music while playing online. It just makes me more patient listening to music than when I am not.

Music is always in a nice touch maybe a movie. if I was to choose music it would be in between led Zeppelin Frank Zappa Jimi Hendrix or course my band of choice manowar
