Is it a good idea to use Auto Buttons like "Fold", "Call Any", "Check", "Check/Fold" etc...

Or do you always wait for the action to come to you and make a decision on the spot?

Depends on situation. Mostly I avoid using it because I've lost to players that sit out in position at the last second.

In low value games if I'm fixing my lunch at the same time. Gives me a few extra seconds to spread the butter.

I use the auto fold because there are just so many snap folds it gives you time to make decisions on other tables.

I use the fold button a good deal when I am on multiple tables. So many clear folds when playing, and it gives me extra time on the other tables.

On some less well designed sites, the check or call button instantly changes into a new amount if you click at the exact moment of a raise. This can trick you. Zynga poker is one that does this.

I do not use these shortcuts, I prefer to put the action myself, but looking at the good side, it gets much more practical with these buttons

I like to put the decision back on my opponent as fast as a can as to see how long it takes for them to make that decision,,,i find it keeps the pressure on them as opposed to you.and if they have a `tough` decision,it usallly takes them some time, and if they have a `made` hand,it takes them a second to play back.(and their`s nothing like a quick `check-raise` to rattle your opponent)Villian`s hate to play someone who seems eratic or could `push` at any moment,BE AGGRESSIVE:D IF YOUR NOT BEING ANNOYING,YOUR NOT PLAYING AGGRESSIVE ENOUGH.:deal:

Yes.

Of course, I use these buttons. They are very helpful in tournaments.
Especially the "skip a hand" button.
It would be terribly boring and difficult to play a five-hour tournament without these auto buttons.

I usually use them, they are very helpful. But one thing I dislike is that when you about to click one of these buttons when, let's say, there are 2 players in front of you still to act, but the first one makes a huge bet, another one probably used "fold to any" already and suddenly you called that huge bet when you were about to click smething like "check" "check/fold" Happened to me a lot lol. So I try to use them when there are still a number of players before me and don't use them when there is like one.

I use the 'fold to any bet' check box sometimes if I know that barring God's Divine intervention, I have no chance whatsoever of improving to the point that it's worth putting even another nickel in the middle. Saves a couple of extra clicks if the hand keeps getting checked around. I still keep an eye on the table just in case the impossible happens, which it does every once in a while.

I use 'auto fold' during the 1st hour before add-ons in some MTTs since I don't play the early stages very often.

I stop using 'auto-fold' afterwards since you miss a lot of spots where you can make steal attempts/open pots.

I only use 'call any' if there are all-ins that have me covered and I know I'm calling. 'Fold to any bet' if I know I have no chance of winning and don't need to second guess the the decision.

I use the auto fold or the check fold button when I'm the BB and I know I'm never playing the hand, it gives me more time at other tables or gives me time to take another dab

Nor really much... They are helpful when multi-tabling, but otherwise a mis-click can cost ya....

It is very convenient, but sometimes, on the contrary, it can do much harm.
