Just curious. I always muck every hand win or lose...bluff or not. Some show a 7-3 off after a good bluff. I think its pretty low class but I guess they have their reasons. What are your thoughts?

Never! I think that showing cards is the same of giving information for the vilians.Maybe when I´m playing at home with my friends I´d show my cards just for fun but in MTT´s on line games I´m not used to show my cards.

When I play with players I know, like cardschat freerolls, if I have the time I show them. Generally in most cases I do not.

Yes I show my cards to make opponent more likely to call next time and let the table know I am bluffing some of the time. I NEVER show bluffs late in a MTT because you will need to bluff to steal blinds and antes.

NEVER! This is best not to do! Do not give rivals additional information about your game!

No. Never. It's unnecessary and can look rude to other players.

You gotta know who you are playing against, especially when talking about live play. Its an important of the game, to sometimes choose what to do with your cards after the hand is over... In some casis showing can be very profitable and useful - lets say you are playing against aggressive opponent who loves to bluff or is easily tilted and you can set him off by showing your bluff - its usually good to tilt him, so he makes more bad decisions.

Sometimes its good to show a NO BLUFF, so you can bluff more comfortably later. It differs very much against who you are playing but I think sometimes its really useful :)

If you’re playing online, at the same tables with the same regs, nearly every time you show your cards, they have the option to take notes, to help narrow your range in future hands. You don’t really want them to have this info if they are the type of player that can can use this against you.
couple this with all the other stats they have on you after 500+ hands with you, you’re not fooling anyone. Yes, you may win against them sometimes, but odds are if you play this way, they have much more of your money than you have of theirs

Never let them see. Online it doesn't matter cause they don't pay attention to you anyway. I have had so many tables going before I wouldn't have noticed if someone did show. It's strict ABC poker at those times.
I usually have to show after an unsuccessful bluff. I do hate it when some jack-nut at a live table won't flip their cards up. I will always flip them over right away. I don't care. I don't why these other guys are trying to hide their crappy play.

Just the other week in a live cash game, I showed a big bluff with 7-3 offsuit. It was good for the game, and it was good for me. The next hand I got pocket jacks and flopped a set against the guy I had JUST bluffed, and got max value out of him. That night went very well.

Normally I don't show my bluffs but someone asked what I had and I was very proud of this particular bluff, so I said F it and showed - and it had a positive effect on the session for me.

I agree with Elton on this one. If I am playing with a group of friends I’m more laid back and we all have a good laugh when we show our cards and that but when I’m playing online I never show my cards. I think the villains not knowing pisses them off more than if you showed. It’s alllll about the mystery lol.

No Show

I believe that showing your cards can help opponents understand your game. Therefore - NEVER SHOW.
Having said that, I may show in home games from time to time. A bad idea, but we are a long-time group of friends. Besides, I have lots of their money over the years. haha

If you're showing your bluff next time you will be difficult to bluff because you have marks as blether.

I used to show my cards when I was bluffing or it was a good winning combination, now I ceased showing my cards so that the players did not know that I could bluff!
