Me and my partner both play poker (he actually get me interested in poker)...Now I always ask him for poker money (because truth is he don't deposit on any account), and he hasn't in a long time, but he has money because of (Cards-Chat games), on different sites, now today, he played a game and he won not a-lot of money but not a-little money either.

Now he's my husband, I tell him to give me some money, and now he says no, I'm not going to give you money and do like he did? I don't think that's fair or right at all, he should share because I would share with him...

So I wanted to know if you all share your funds with your partners when it comes to the online roll..

He says he shared enough times with me, and his brother, and I say I don't care, your money is mine and I deserve half of it (Since it's free money he won, it's not like he actually worked hard for this right)? I mean he won yes, but come on, I only want 50% of it, not all of it, and it would be the last time I tell him...

So I'm going to ask this from the community to be as honest as possible, and your answers could change his mind somewhat..

You are trolling right? No way this can be a serious question. I'll answer though. My wife doesn't play poker but if she did my bankroll would be off limits. I don't fall for that half of everything is mine crap.

I kid you not she's dead serious about this subject and is waiting for a response from the CC players, that is the truth on this subject..The thing is that I mean I offered to give $25 dollars, and she said no, she wants 50% well that shit is too much even for me, and when I asked what's the reason behind it, the answer was "I want it, and I'm your wife, and that's why"..

That is the answer I got for it, so I mean, she'll get over it, but I told her ain't no way that's happening, so her options are to accept the $25 or nada

First off just because he won the money in freerools does not mean he did not work hard for it, and if you are a good poker player you would understand that.
Second it sounds like from your post you are not a winning poker player, so why should he give you any money to lose? And why would you even want him to give you the money to risk if he is a better player then you?

Last of all you are messing with your husbands BR, and that is just not cool!!
If your husband is the best player then you need to sit there and watch him play, and be happy you are not loosing his money!

Well it's all good, she got 25% of it, rather than $25 dollars because of her sheer determination and will power..So even though she is the one that asked for this she didn't like the responses and did her normal, none stop nagging, and whining and what not to get what she wants

Well all she got what she wanted but thx for at-least backing me up..

haha this is hilarious, simple answer to this don't tell her you won haha. Hard to do i guess now that she is on the cc forum and well we all like to brag about our cashes and such.

GL boyond_space, take down a nice tourny now for like 100k and don't forget you gotta ship at least 25% over to the hubby. funny, just shows how the wifes think though haha. The big question you need to ask in this situation is ok, if i lose 1k are you gonna give me 500 of it :D

Interesting. She seems to like poker. That's already a plus in my book. Why not teach her? Or tutor her. I think it'd be quite fun to have someone building a bankroll from 0 up with you.

Better to teach her than just give her part of your bank roll.
Anyone who tries to take it up from 0 will know how much work it takes.
Sometimes you gotta get experience to get knowledge.

the woman always wins. if your wife isnt happy, you wont be. I would think the husband doesnt want to give that much because he did work hard for it unlike you think, lol. winning in poker isnt very easy and maybe he takes poker a little more seriously and doesnt play like its a trip to the casino to play slots..

i once had 5 grand on full tilt way back in the day and I was always transferring 2 of my good friends 100 at a time until i realized it was really adding up and they werent playing very well or acting like it was a big deal if they lost. it started to tick me off because i worked very hard for that bankroll and was playing far better than them. it was easier telling them I couldnt do it anymore than it would be a wife though.

It gets worse. Trust me! $5 becomes $22, $22 becomes $50 & instead of 3days, it's every day... then 3x/day. I'm sure $10k is a low estimate when you add up my p2p transfers (< I sh1t you not!)

"Binking a big one" does NOT make it get better.... it only makes it much much worse!!

Nip it in the bud.... send her to Belize (with Mike ;) ). Maybe we can get a deal.... '2 for 1' or something?

Do you believe in gambling addictions? When I google it, I get tons of sites about addictions. Sounds like that'd be it. Better teach her how to play fast if you don't want to end up having to send her away (don't do that :p ). If you get her to see it's skill and work, well, it becomes less fun... Work is tiring  Even if you love it.

I'm calling it gambling cuz it's not an investment if you're not trying to make money. When I play poker, I call it an investment. When a guy pushing it all in every hand for fun plays, I call it gambling.

And yes, I agree with Orifice on this. The binking will only worsen your problem. Tricking the mind into thinking the player is a winning player is never good...

Also, if I did grow up and meet a girl who was also interested in studying poker, I'd gladly share a bankroll if she wanted to. But this is different. If both people aren't taking it seriously, it won't work. Separate the bank rolls till you both have the same goals.

NEVER NEVER touch the bankroll!!!!!! If you needed money or expect money from it, tough... The only time you should be allowed money at all is NEVER!

Because every bit of money that's taken out of his BR is stunning his growth as a player. He might be a winning player and make millions later but because your taking money off him now he's unable to get to the next stage... Your cutting the blood flow and your one fkd up bitch and i'm glad ur not my wife/girlfriend f this sht, I'd dump you quicker than anything.

When the player retires from poker you then may take the winnings... Which could be 25% of nothing or maybe it could be a Mil.... But I think if he was rich from poker he'd share with u at a later date.. .But your not worth any of it.

I just don't believe in doing things in half...

It's wasn't just about dumping your wife/gf for poker it's much more than just that... But your under the thumb so whatever I say it doesn't matter and all the best and enjoy being a losing player :) and we will all enjoy a boost to our bankroll unless ur wife gets it first.

Okay what if your ultimate dream was to be a poker pro? who are we to say don't do that or u can't do it?? ...Well if your wife said that? pissing on your dreams... I guess I don't take any crap from anyone.

I would tell her to start her own roll. How is she going to say that you didn't work for that money? Grinding isn't working? If you are both sharing the same roll and run bad you'll go broke quicker.

I do have a solution though.... If you are a winning player? Why doesn't your wife give you say money to play in a weekly tourney... And that specific tourney you win you give her the winnings.

I'm not a winning player that's the thing, I just work up little by little over sometime, while she just sits with the entire B.R and does her thing that's all.

Also I have no issue with giving her money (It's annoying more like it+she demands it) it's the fact that she chooses to play say the .50 360 mans and than I have to here her complain to boot about say losing to a bad beat, while she's playing a-couple of zoom tables, and also register'd for another tourney while watching a soap opera with Hindu blasting on the T.V, that is the issue, because to her the money came from a free roll so why not share it, because it's free is her mentality towards it (Get my drift now). And if you do share it, well she'll lose it because she doesn't stop while she's ahead get it now, and when she's losing she wont stop at all either because of tilt understand it, but if she wins she'll rub it in my face, now do you get it?

That $50 was very generous but don't ask or expect him to continue that. Use bankroll management and build that up like he has had to do over time. You are too new to the game and could drain his bankroll which would not be fair.

My husband let me play on his account a few times and I won $20 so I opened my own account, he transferred that $20 to me and was on my own from there.

Your account is not password locked? How did she find out about your funds? Did you talk about your poker winnings? Your fault if you did. Give her the money and find a way to hide your accounts.
