Do you profile poker ability/traits by a player's nationality?

I wonder if people form opinions about a player's general ability or playing style based on nationality. For example; 'Do Russian players bluff/steal more often than other players?'; 'Are Brazilian players more likely to 3 bet than other players?; Are Canadian players generally the most feared on the table?:p (just joking).

It does seem to me that players from the Eastern European countries tend to go all in more often than other players, but maybe it's just my imagination. To me, players from sweden, finland, and norway tend to play more conservatively than the Russians. Just a couple of examples of my opinion and unscientific observation, but I wonder what others think.

Cheers . . .

Yeah I do it all the time and I shouldn't.

I normally puts notes on everyone, so at a glance I can see the type of player they are by the colour I have put on them.

Brazilians are crazy betters normally with complete air, Russians never fold and will see a showdown, same win Ukraine. Military guys u can never bluff if there name has anything to do with marines navy or army they won't fold, probably shouldn't think that way, but on pokerstars it's like that

I think you get all kinds of players from each place. I don't think you can lump them together by countries.

Hey, I resemble that remark. :D
I try not to make assumptions based on nationality, it's best to just watch their play and make notes. But, since you brought it up, Americans, nitty. Russians, super-aggressive. Brazilians any two cards. Germans and British, sneaky. Canadians, well-rounded excellent poker players :p

I don't do. I try to discover their style at the table, during the party.

I keep notes on a lot of players when I'm playing on ACR, and one of the things that I have done is note if that player is from South America, because the South America's like to bet big and play almost any two cards. I've even questioned if a lot of them are bots based on their similar style of play. I'm to the point now that I can almost guess where they are from based on their play. The Russians and Ukraines are similar.

I have to admit I do hover over avatars and read name, location, chipstack whilst thinking about decisions.
Though I am not sure what additional information or influence this really has.
Perhaps there is something subconscious or perhaps it is just a nervous habit, like tutting, humming or clicking fingers.
Or perhaps it is simply to keep the mouse away from the buttons until I'm really ready to choose one and don't accidentally misclick because my other habit is tapping the mouse button.
