I play a lot of tournaments because I've clear situation : how much can i lose/win. Additionally they've stable structure and i know when i should improve my stack and when i can play less hands.

I like tournaments more. High places and victories in tournaments give me more amusement.

I agree with you! But for the cash game, with the right game, you can win the same money as in the tournament, faster!

I prefer the cash game because it gives you a chance to make good money every day. In tournaments you do not win every day, sometimes you can have a good time without winning anything in tournaments. In cash gives more hope of tripling what you invested.

tournaments by far for me.. I love the survival mode part of it.. in many cases you can't just rebuy and continue playing.. which forces players to step up their competition and strategize how they're going to win chips to stay alive

all it takes is one big tournament win, to run deep in a big tournament and you've made 4-5-6-7 figures just in one sitting. I don't have to win a tournament every day, just one cash per year can do the trick :)

When i'm playing live I do enjoy a cash game. Cash game grinding has gone pretty well for me in the old Full Tilt and Stars days for US Players. But I mainly try to keep it MTT's or SNG grinding when playing online. Live cash games are way too fun. :)

I play in multi-table tournaments. The taste of victory and the first place in big tournaments can not be compared with any winnings in cash games.

Tournaments need to get to the prize.
In cash games you can stop whenever you want. In them you can lose and win.
I play cash games between tournaments and I like it.

I started out at cash tables like most players but early on found my style of playing much better suited for tournament poker. Im not exactly sure why but I have been much more successful playing tournaments. That being said, over the years my cash game has evolved and am confident sitting at any cash table.

Tournaments for a low budget. If you have more cash, go for live

I prefer TOurnaments every day in the week. It's like day and night, i really cant understand how anyone can appreciate cashgames, the thrill in tournaments when u get to the finaltable and double up.

The nits gets there ass beaten, because the blinds go up, in cashgames the nits just wait and wait and beat you with higher set... and u are down and need to grind up again, at that point i tend to tilt. In a tournament i get just as mad but i am out and there is not much i can do about it.

If poker was only cashgames i would be out of it. I can win a tournament and be 100dollar up in a day, but at 10NL (my level at CG) i get like 10dollars in the best of days.

Tournaments or Cashgames and why? (u cashgames guys have to explain extra hard why you prefer cashgames before tournaments:D )
Ofc tournaments, bro! U r right bout tilt, and if u r so nervous, play tournmnts, glhf

I have played both online but live only some cash games. I prefer tournaments because there's a buy in only in the beginning and that's it. You will get from how deep you will run. In cash games you can lose more than a couple of buy ins and you lose it directly from your bankroll.

This ma be the only reason I prefer tournaments than cash games.

In some large MTT, solid prizes are played out. In ordinary cash games, you can also make big money, but the profit is formed gradually, and in tournaments you can win a large amount for the day. In this case, the buy-in is minimal. Minimization of all risks is the main task in MTT. Of course in tournaments a lot depends on the case. For this reason, you must act with caution, without risking the whole stack. Play any card carefully, without haste - do not push all-in (even with AA or KK). All-in is the most extreme measure used in situations with guaranteed victory or before an imminent departure. To win an online poker tournament, you need to be patient, judicious, cold-blooded.
When choosing a tournament, you need to consider three main questions: the start time of the tournament; Type of tournament; And of course the size of the buy-in.
Good luck to all!
