Also, do you prefer playing good or awful players. People say playing good players is better as bad players are unpredictable and unreadable. But! Surely without bad players it wouldn't be possible to make profit. Good players would just be swapping money back and forth. But when you get 5 bad beats from bad players. It's easy to say get rid.of them!

Sure one will cash more in smaller fields. However, the EV is usually better in larger fields (more dead money). Thus, as long as one has the proper bankroll and the proper mental temperament for winning whatever percentage of the time a particular type of tournament will garner then
As a poker player looking to make money, one will always want to play with the worst players. If they suck out, they suck out... getting your money in good is what matters in the long run.
If one is striving to improve their game then playing with good players can have some value as long as one studies in depth the players they are playing against/the lessons they are paying for...
