Do you play differently when you play online and live?
I noticed that I have live, tend to play much looser than normal.
I know online I play a lot, but when I'm serious I have a definite style that is very tight.
As I reviewed my plays, I realized that live, even playing seriously, I opened much more hands than I should have.

And did you notice that difference in your game or are there no variations?

Online and offline poker are very different from each other. I notice a lot of inconsistencies, too.

Hello.
Unfortunately, I have no way to play live, so I play online only. I find that playing live is much more complicated than online.

No difference for me, might not bluff some players live if i know they are super tight and i wont make some calls if there are old people betting big into me :D online you cant know who they are but generally old people dont bluff as much haha.

Main difference is the much lower amount of hands per hour that you play. Playing online you can afford to wait for big hands generally in normal games (not in hyper turbo of course or similar types) while playing live you need to play also weaker hands hence be more loose because otherwise the blinds will just eat you stack rather quickly.

Why do you think that?

I can not see this relationship of old people, since you almost never know who you're playing online.

I agree in parts. I think the simple fact that you can apply a large volume of tables on the online, allow you to play only fundamental hands. Already playing live, coming from the great volume of the online, becomes tedious, making you open more hands. Do you agree?

Yes live game is different experience than online. These days people much more frequently start to play poker online first and then at some stage start also to play live (i myself did exactly that). That's why it is very good idea to start playing also live sooner than later. If you do not have the needed money to play in casino (live game is much more expensive generally) you can start playing with friends (that is what i do). It is still helpful and also very pleasant experience.

I’ve always had much more success live than online because it’s so much easier to spot the fish. Online you have to play about 50 hands with someone before you have even a decent feel for their tendencies while live you can gather information so much more quickly

I think the variation is more for the type of table where you are playing than the place itself if I am playing at a more passive table I can play with the wider range. if I'm at an extremely aggressive table the trend and close the range and play safer regardless of whether it's live or online

In live tournaments I play more tight, because I'm afraid that opponents will see for me when I bluff.
