I was wondering how many people with real money in there accounts actually play the freerolls. I'm already halfway to my 50 posts but I had a small roll of $16 to mess around with.. I've been using Sit n Go bankroll management and its been working quite well.. Got up to about 63 but now i'm at 50. Anyways i'm getting off-track. when I do hit 50 posts I don't believe I will play in the freerolls. That way I can give the forum members here who are here for freerolls and advice more of an opportunity to start a roll. How many of you feel the same way? Am I being dumb?

Does anyone not feel the same way or have an opinion on this matter?

You misunderstand the reason why CC (Nick), provides freerolls for it's members. The answer is twofold:

1/ To attract new members, you only have to read the "how did you find this site"? thread to see how members have seen the various CC freerolls on poker sites.

2/ To reward contributing members for adding to the value of the forum, posting strategy guides, helping new players, disecting HHs etc

It's entirely your decision whether you play the freerolls or not, I "don't need" to play them, I enjoy playing them, chatting at the tables to old and new members is another way to get involved in the game of poker.:D

^^^^^ Exactly what he said. Freerolls allow me to socialize with forum members and make friends. They also show people a bit of what i can do on the felt and that in turn increases my value when ever i make a post or when they are looking for team members for various events. I also play all the buy ins i can, this is another good way to build your poker respect factor.:):):):)

I agree with those above. I am also practicing tournament play and it is fun to socialize with the other members of the forum. I don't necessarily need to play the freerolls they are just alot of fun.

With the rule change we really don't have to worry about the freerolls filling up and people missing out.

I'm a real money player, but I still play them when the time suits and I remember. Aside from the social and amusement aspects, they're actually really good value if you can snag one of the top spots.

I had all but quit free rolls until the new posting requirements went into effect. I still don't play all that many, but if one is being played when I have free time I jump in, the smaller fields make for a better quality of play & it gives one a chance to play with & get to know more of the new/newer members. I would encourage you to participate anytime you feel like it
