Basically what I am wondering is, whether after you fold your hand you keep looking at it and seeing how it would play out if you didn't fold it.

Do you get all angry thinking "oh come on I would have totally won that if I didn't fold wht the hell!" or do you accept the fact that folding was the right choice in said situation because even though you WOULD have won if you did not fold, your hand was not good enough pre-flop to keep playing.

Does looking at the hands that could have been won affect you in any way? Do you become careless and start going in with even crappy hands?

Personaly I look, but it is a bad thing to do. You can go on tilt if you do.
The best way to play is, forget your hand as fast as you folded and look at the opponents. Maybe they will be giving away some information or tells that can help you later on in the game.

You gotta forget about it. Concentrate on the decision you made. Was folding 10-5 off in early position to a 3-bet maniac a good decision? Answer: Yes. How would you to know the flop was going to come up 10-10-5?

Yes I look but if I hit I tell myself what are the chances? Over the long run I'll lose a lot of money playing a hand like 7 2 off suit, even if this time I would have flopped trip 7's

I look at them all the time but mostly just to see how my cards fit in with the action, nothing more.

You watch the hand play out but not for the reason you want. When you fold a hand pf its because it's bad in the long-term. But when there's a flush draw and you fold A2 with the ace being a the nut card and you see someone shove, thats a mistake you should write down (this is just an example).

I used to. I've learned not to dwell on mucked cards. It really tightened up my game as far as tilt goes.

Hard not to look at them when they are sitting there facing you.

Plenty of times I think that was a good fold, others I think would have become chip leader as 3 mushes play a pot that my folded hands had won on the flop :p

i look to confirm i made the right choice and is fun to see if if i would have got there, most of the time i am pleased, but sometimes i do get a little tilted when a raise and large 3 bet are ahead and i can't play small pair.. it always hits the set in this spot. =[

I look because I know that other players can't have two cards I had and for example if there are 4 clubs on the board and I had A of clubs and one player bets and other player folds, I know he didn't have nut flush so he was more likely to be bluffing.

Yeah I try not to think about what I folded. Kind of the same thing as "don't cry over spilled milk" I definitely think it would affect new players more then someone who has many years experience.

I used to think the same way until I realized that the RNG (Random number generator) uses the milliseconds of the clock in its calculation in determining what the next card will be. In other words its not like a deck of cards in a live game where no matter how much time you and the other players take to make decisions the cards remain the same, but with the RNG the cards most likely would of been different if you had stayed in the hand.

Not any more unless it's just to "reflect" on how/if I could have played it better for tha next time around... I used to go on tilt but had to realize over the "long run" folding regardless of what my hand may have connected with was still the best decision over a span of hands...

Hello, my view is, if you folded you're out, so no matter what happens with the play.
Look focus for the moves you give call or raise.
How many times I had 2, 4 and flop 2, 2, 4 full house but who knew ?!
Watch out for when you're in the game, forget the rest.

For me discarded hand is a hand that no longer exists. Avoid the most of it looks after disposal because it can hurt me emotionally.

I almost always look on the cards after folding, which I could earn. Often it goes strongly angry, but I'm trying to change and forget the card, which folded.

No. Even if there would be a winning hand. Nothing will change. The same hand I'm going to fold in the next time.

No, you should be folding your hand knowing it is the right move regardless of the outcome.

Yes, I do that all the time and often see how my hands would have won the hand, but still don't play any further with your hands,as it is only a coincidence not more)

I would agree here. You can actually change aettinga on pokerstara to not be able to see your folded hands, changing this was plus ev for me haha.
