I personally play 3 sessions of 20 Sit & Go tables.
Because that's what my time allows to play.
But before starting the games I always meditate for 15 min to stabilize my mind and try to avoid the maximum thoughts arising from the day and not influence in my game.

After the session ends I automatically turn off my PC and continue with my daily routine.

And you, what is your game routine?

No routine here either, just try to play whenever I can. The worst with this is when something unexpected comes up and I have to stop playing halfway through a tourney

Playing more on the weekends but with no regularity. Most all games as small MTT and SnG's. As far as routine, don't really have one. If for some reason I'm not in a positive mood, routinely I will not play.

Poker routine

Personally for Live poker I do have a regular routine.

Did you ever wonder why karate practitioners always wear those funny pajamas? Is not so much for comfort as when they put it on it says to their mind, "time to fight."

So for me I have a regular poker uniform. Happens to be a long-sleeve blue shirt and Levi's but that's immaterial. When I put it on It prepares my mind to play poker. It helps me anyway.

O NO

I just gave away the reason for the last half of my user name! LOL

So might as well explain "Lefty".

From country song Pancho and Lefty:

"Pancho needs your prayers it's true,
But save a few for Lefty too,
He only did what he had to do
And now he's growing old."

I already played while doing other things, divided concentration, but some attitudes were almost automatic, it was enough to look a little and I knew what I should do, I do not advise to do the same, the ideal is to have a routine and dedicate to the game without distractions.

I try not to make it a routine because it can get boring sometimes, I wish I can have more time to play poker in a not si distance future to make it worth it :)

Usually, I try to play 4-6 hours a day.
Poker is not a routine for me.
I always enjoy the game.

I normally stick to MTT, and mixed games. When I get home from work, I look to see what tournaments I want to play in for the night. Get registered, and go about my day till its time to start. I make sure to schedule my tournaments so I don't have too many going at once. 2 or 3 at the most. If I bust out early, have some time to kill before the next one, and nothing I need to get done. I'll jump on 4 or 5 Low stakes PLO tables, and just grind for a while until I'm ready to play in my next tournament.

On nights my wife has to work I will play from around 5PM until I quit for the day which on a good night is 12-1AM.

She works rotating schedule so I play a couple days then don't play a couple days.

Occasionally I will fire up some daytime stuff but its rare now that she is on night shift at her job.

My routine only varies over the weekend. during the week I play sit go for about 4 hours I do sessions of 4 to 6 simultaneous tables (I like to focus attention on the tables) I finished the schedule I stop.
During the weekend I can play MTT so I do not have time to play, but when I feel tired I automatically stop and do not play again that day.

I do not have game routines, but I think it's a good idea, it certainly helps, I think the most important thing is mental freshness.

I wont start a tournament if I feel even a little tired because it takes so much concentration and patience .

I'm a live player so my schedule isn't quite as specific. Love to get in to some good tourneys on the weekends or play cash late at night.

I only play poker when I'm calm and stress free from the daily routine. if I create a routine or ritual to play game, some unresolved factors may interfere with my performance. so, for me, is better play poker when that possible
