Its weird because its just a game after all and we are playing it because we want to win, but sometimes when i win i feel bad and sorry for the other player.
Especially when the player's name is something like "grandpa" and he/she has a dog as an avatar.
When you lose you get mad and when you win you feel guilty. lol

Only when I pull of an extremely bad beat live, and you can see the despair in their face. Then you start to have some feels, but the money settles them down real fast... (how bad is that? ) :p

I wonder if Daniel or Ivey feels bad about taking a $100,000 pot. It's kind of funny watching them trying very hard not to laugh. As a good poker player the mission is to win money.

No, I don't feel guilty at all. I would much rather play with friendly, polite players, but the bottom line is that I'm in it to win money. I might feel a little guilty if I get lucky on someone, but not enough to give them a refund, especially when I think about all the times people have gotten lucky on me with ridiculous hands.

Me too... I dont feel guilty,.. I dont need the sorry of my opponent because it will not help me.. Not all players in online poker are nice like this.. you will encounter players that will comment every move or decision you make.even if you win or lose, your opponent will still comment that..but that kind of players cant even give bad comments about himself or about the decision he make.. ..

Been busy here because of the typhoon..

I am much too excited about winning to feel guilt !! I really love beating a player that has been talking down to everyone, really excited when that happens !!

Only way I feel bad is a player made a great play on me and I suck out on him to put him out of the tournament. One other time I felt bad was live in a casino. You could tell the guy was playing with his rent money (never a good idea) I told him I had it cause I felt bad for him but I guess he took it as being weak and pushed all in. Pretty sure he cried when he was away from the table. He did it to himself but I still felt bad.

lol. Most definitely not.

Remember Duhamel's face when he put a terrible beat on Afflec? That's the face all poker players should have when winning a pot.

Tell you all what. Why don't we see how many "sorrys" we can get while we play in our freerolls. So practice. LOL

I do not feel guilty if I win.Basically, I feel guilty when I take off from the tournament shortly before the prize zone.I blame myself that at some point I played wrong.

This thread made me feel less guilty lol. Next time i play will i just think that most of you dont feel a bit .

No but i guess i still will feel for that guy with a sad dog as avatar and a name like grandpa.
I also get mad when i lose and if i win in a overall losing session will i not feel guilt but when i am running ok and the other guy just gives away can the feelings come a little bit.

Dont we all do that when we start out:eek:

edit. Not madmad i just get frustrated nowdays. I guess this thread is proving that i am not in a downswing atleast.. And its not like i am letting it affect my play, i will still choice the table where the fishes are and i will still try to play the best possible poker.

:joyman:

Its very very

ok to have a dog as an avatar. But i remember this she on pokerstars, she had a sad dog as an avatar and she played like a total maniac, think it was a she. i do think so
I looked her up and she had been playing since 2007 and she still sucked, and because of she playing since 2007 and sucking had she lost some money, not much but still.. And in the beginning of the tournament did she had the biggest stack then she just gave it away. But it was the sad dog which made me sad in combination of her playing since 2007 and still being kinda bad. :(
I guess it was the dog which messed with my head.

Haha ok cool.

Also I don't think I'd ever be sad that someone still sucks after so many years. The more bad players there are, the more money there is for the taking :D
