Do You Drink While You Play?

Few months ago, I had a very unique experience, I start playing sit n go tournaments, like everyday, while drinking some beers and then taking some wiskey shots, I ended up losing everyting and I had only $50 bucks on my account, and because i was really drunk, i registered the $50 sit and go knockout, I ended up wining all the bounties and the prizepool to something like $300.

Drinking while playing make me very agressive, its like i want to win each hand, is this the same to you, or you can manage that situation?

If you want to win money, then drinking alcohol while playing is a bad idea.

I know forsure and from experience that its a bad idea, but I'm asking if you had the same feeling, being agressive and want to win each hand!

Something I read early on about playing in a bad mood or drinking just stuck with me. It was mostly negative results from playing in that state of mind. Won't play if had been drinking or if had bad day at work. Find other things to occupy my time.

I might have one or two beers but that’s it. If I get drunk I make bad choices. It’s best not to drink.

I not, play not fear and play aggressively so you will not need drink to make money.

Not always profitable, but it can certainly be a lot of fun! Depends what you want from your SNG to be honest, fun or a higher chance at EV+. Drunk poker is EV-

It's bad idea do drink and play. I would suggest to everybody who wants to earn from poker. You need to play clean minded without any stress before. Just relax set up your mindset focus on the game and earnings will come.

As for me, I don't drink while playing because I want to have a fresh mind and to enjoy the process

I prefer marijuana than alcohol;alcohol make me feel so full of myself.That's why I choose cannabis.

Yep - drinkin and playing now. It's never a good idea - anything that changes perception and instinct at a table is not a good idea. I do not recommend it.

Yes I drink.........Water, juice, gatorade and red bull need to keep the energy up while playing.

Alcohol is a no no if you are playing serious games.It impears judgement and causes you fatigue.

Of course if it is a casual home game among family & friends then yes I highly recommend it. The table talk and games are a lot more fun if buzzed.

A couple of beers i find helps me live as a small amount will relax me slightly - playing at a table of strangers naturally im not as relaxed as i am playing with friends. Getting drunk is a bad idea though, anything that hinders your observation & concentration obviously creates a disadvantage.

focus on the game, sometimes I drink beer when I start tournaments and next to me my company of friends, but it rarely happens, I try not to drink during the game, you can lose a lot - alcohol - it's best not to use during the game!
