Please only read any further if you reside in canada and played online poker at partypoker prior to the US ban (October 13th).

My name is Mark McCabe and I attend the University Of Paisley in Scotland. I am currently doing my dissertation on the affects of the online gaming industry (with specific regards to online poker) as a result of the Unlawful Internet gambling Enforcement Act 2006 which effectively banned US players, however I understand US players still play online poker at sites that have not banned them.

This short questionnaire/poll aims to find out the impact the US ban has had on Canadian players, to see if a massive liquidity loss (the loss of US players on Party) on your peak playing time has affected where you now play the majority of your online poker.

Please find the time to answer these quick questions below.

Q1 Do you still play the majority of your online poker at Party?

A) YES B) NO

*****IF ANSWERED 'YES' TO Q1 THEN MOVE DIRECTLY TO Q3*****

Q2 If you have left Party, where do you now play the majority of your online poker?

A) pokerstars B) FULLTILT C) OTHER U.S FACING SITE D) NON-U.S FACING SITE

Q3 If you stayed with Party, what were your reasons?

A) RETIRED / UNEMPLOYED / STUDENT B) WORK UNUSUAL HOURS (NIGHTSHIFT) C) WAS UNAWARE OF ANY PLAYER LIQUIDITY 'CRISIS'

Thank you for your help,

Mark

?

It's going to a short dissertation, I guess. Or he's going to have to do a lot of extrapolating from one Yes/No question.

Its massive!! Its just a wee sub-section on Canadian players' movement from Party to follow US players for liquidity reasons.

Okay, I'm Canadian but never played money games until after the ban so I can't help.

If you were a regular member, there'd be more inclination to help you, I'm sure.

Failing that, if you had some web summary of your study, or something that people could look at to see that they're not wasting their time it might garner more interest.
