Discipline in your life outside of poker +ev?
I was reading a blog about a guy who was a blackbelt in a martial art and how that kinda shaped his mindset for how he approached poker.
I realize that I don't do much outside of poker as far as a hobby that requires loads of work and discipline so I was wondering if some sort of physically/mentally challenging activity has translated into success on the tables for anyone here.
I was thinking like tai chi or something lower impact than Taekwon-do, maybe even yoga. Something that gets me active and also requires my mind to focus etc.
Other than work and go for the occasional walk I don't get much of that in my day to day life. Maybe I could even get some religion. (please don't any atheists go nuts on me) You know what I mean though. Work parts of my body and mind I don't right now.
Spiritually or otherwise. I know businessmen read Sun Tzu in order to gain perspective or a new approach to the business world. Anyone do that in poker?
Here is the blog I was talking about. http://www.giantbuddhapoker.com/giantbuddhas-blog/
