Do you also have very different results in the same games on different poker sites, based upon a larger sample size ?
How can it be ?

Some sites are most likely rigged and/or have different way of sharing cards.

But really, the players are different, some are worse, some are better, some happen to be drunk, some on drugs.

If you let things like this **** up your head, even if those weren't true, it will effect your game and can be seen from results. It's not good to be thinking that: "Hey, these players all are solid and there's no money here.", you should be thinking/trying to find out what mistakes they do and then they take their money because there's always a way to get their money if they play.

Of course the results might be just different because of the skill level, but what I'm trying to say is that you don't want to make it any worse just by thinking unnecessary things.

all in all....site vs site...b&m vs. b&m..only that changes is the dealer and seats. control the pot when can and play with skill....over the long run all equals out. if your good....then results will be there. if not...then start looking at your mistakes..they're more important then any others. keep learning and grinding

How much it different? I don't think it can be a big different. The different can't be bigger than the different between two days playing on the same site. Of course you win or lose a different amount on two days.

I think it has to do with the traffic, and types of players/regs on certain sites.

I get a wide range of results.

When I`m playing at ub i CAN`T SEEM TO GET PAST THE VARIANCE... WHERE AT STARS OR FULL TILT i WIN... MY PLAY DOESN`T CHANGE FROM SITE TO SITE. I`m not sure why this is. It just is.

I would like to know what is a "very different result".What are the different poker sites. And what is a large sample size?I mean i would like to know the facts of this instead of a over all generalization. And i don't think this should be rushed to the mega rigged thread "YET"!

I have the same problem, but I do far better at UB than i do at PS. I've pinpointed my problem is that I'm more confident at one site over the other, so I just need to work on knowing it's the same on all sites

ya poker isn't going to change at any of the diff sites. if ur dominant ur gonna dominate at any site. the only thing that changes could be playstyle. i've noticed at the micro to low buyins brought diff playstyles obvioiusly.

Different sites can have different levels of players at a given stake, i.e. some sites are softer than others, or some are harder at some stakes and softer at other stakes. This is the only difference that is going to affect your win/lose results.

In my experience I find FT micro games, whether ring, SnG, or MTT, to be harder than on Stars. Move up in limits out of the micros, and I think Stars gets a bit tougher than FT, but I'm not sure I could quantify any of it -- it's just the feeling I get. I guess I could run a HEM report on my results per site...

Yes, every site has good and bad players..on a site with many good players the probability to lose is bigger:)

so try low rated players sites...

depends on how long uv been playing at 1 particular site sometimes, more hands at 1 site = more info that is out there for ppl to see.

but it could be a lot of reasons why u have different results at a similiar level and similiar amount of hands played.

i mean it could be mental, like "soooo i have bad results here at this site" im gonna have problems during this session.

but overall there are so many lil factors that could be bothering u when u play that site that doesnt give u great results its crazy.

but i would tell u in addition to paying attention to the hand histories and results, pay attention to how u feel, ur mental state when u play this "other site".

all has to do with the players at the table...some tables every hand goes down to the river pretty much and other tables the hands never go past the flop

Also I can mention one particular case. When grinding a lot on one site for months and then try a shoot on the site on microstakes it's all new for you. I mean software here, the design of boards and so on. I am talking about myself. When I play occasionally on UB or PKR I'm very quickly start gambling like on playmoney tables. :-D Just I don't realize that's that money the same money that on site where are my main bankroll. If I would moved all grinding to new site, I think I would be more serious and have more discipline.

I have had the best results playing on Full Tilt. It seems to be the most realistic and fair site ive played on. I played a tourney on bodog last night with around 160 players in it and placed 92nd. I usually dont have a problem making the final table or at least cashing in such a small game. But i literally saw one ace in the 50 mins i lasted in this game. My best hand besides the A4 was KJ, in which i saw about 4 times and missed the flop completely everytime. To my recollection of all the hands i folded i think i would have had the nuts one time when i had 10 4 off suit and flopped 10 6 10, but was raised 1/3 of my stack so i folded mid-position.

In general, the top 3 sites have way more players to track and more dangerous regs to spot.

Smaller sites have exploitable pools easily found at various limits and games.

i think the outrageous beats are because the algorithms apply to the whole site, so basically it's playing thousands of hands at once, rather than applying the odds to single table or tourney. play a thousand hands at once and you are gonna see crazy stuff often enough.
