The difference between a responsible gambler and a degenerate gambler is that the responsible gambler is gambling with money they can afford to lose and they have good bankroll management. The degenerate gambler, on the other hand is gambling with money they can't afford to lose and have horrendous bankroll management. Not all gamblers are the same.

If you are going to gamble, gamble with money you can afford to lose. Look at it as expensive entertainment. Sometimes you want to see a movie, sometimes you want to play cards. Cards are way more expensive. Never gamble money you need to pay your basic bills with like house, car, insurance, utilities, and grocery. It's all about moderation. Never gamble with money you can't afford to lose. Only use spending money to spend as your spending money (e.g., gambling, buying a new laptop/computer, buying a new TV, buying a new gaming console, etc.) and never use expense money to spend as your spending money. If you run out of spending money, save up on spending money.

Well, I have horrendous BR Management , If I didn't I would never have to deposit lol.This being said , I don't think I'm a degen at all.When I do make a deposit , I never deposit more than 100.00.
The problem I have is that I play what looks good to me at the time whether it's a 1$ SnGO or $20 MTT.I believe what keeps me from being a degen is the fact that if I go busto, I don't allow myself to deposit untill I grind freerolls for a month , trying to build a roll of some kind. I like trying to make something from nothing anyway , so this works for me.
I will say that If I had better BR M. , I know that I would never have to deposit , I just like playing games that are out of my BR range. Good Luck Out There.

A responsable gambler is one that know and understand the odds and statistical variance and place educated bets within a healthy bankroll management criteria with a positive expected value.

Going to the theatre is a PITA. Popcorn and goodies are way too expensive, and it was bad enough when kids wouldn't STFU. Now, you have all these $#@^& cell phones. I'll wait for the DVD, thank you so very much. Playing cards, however, is quite profitable.

Never gamble money you need to pay your basic bills with like house, car, insurance, utilities, and grocery. It's all about moderation. Never gamble with money you can't afford to lose. If you're playing with the best of it, you ain't gambling. That's called investing. Some invest in stocks, others options or bonds. I invest in cards.

Otherwise, good advice. I don't want the fish to go broke before I take a crack at cleaning 'em out. :)
