seen this on my Facebook page via Card Player magazine, I wonder what other peoples thoughts are about this. I know it's stirring up some interesting discussion on their site.

TV or whatever your intentions were that is pretty dirty especially from a pro. I was kinda hoping it was going to be Freddy Deeb though. Haven't seen anything with him since High Stakes Poker

I think Mike handled it about as well as he could given the circumstances, now on the other hand if this was Phil Hellmuth cameras would have to be turned off, no doubt about it.

I don't understand the issues with slow rolling. Isn't the idea to throw off your opponent so they don't know what you're holding? I understand this case is a little different because Matusow was all-in. But if Matusow had chips behind him still and Deeb slow rolled, I don't have a problem with it.

Then it wouldn't be a slow roll. Slow rolling can really only happen when the person being slow rolled action has been completed and it's just up to the slow roller to either make a call with the nuts or just flip the cards at showdown. I don't think anyone would fault anyone for taking time and trying to look week with aces preflop or if there was the option to reraise all in or something on the river. But if it's to the river and someone shoves into you when you have the nuts it would be considered slow rolling if you make a spectacle of having a really tough decision on your hands. Taking a minute to think about it and then calling only to turn over the nuts. Your giving false hope and not really gaining anything in terms of chips not already in the pot. It's just bad etiquette to do this and in doing it I think your definitely intentionally trying to piss people off. I just don't think you have the correct understanding of what a true slow roll actually is.

Yeah a total D-bag thing to do. No class whatsoever shown by Deeb.

It is just wrong to do that....

What was the slow roll part here? Unless there was a lot of time cut for the TV, all I see is Deeb wanting a count. Yeah, it was unnecessary, but not criminal IMHO. Looks more like Mike just got pissed at himself, and took it out on Deeb.

If he still has chips then its not even an issue thats just a slow play and its very common on the other hand when the action is done and he does that BS that is just unethical i agree with the mouth he should have punched him lol

He has the NUTS do you really think a chip count is going to make a difference. He knows he's calling regardless of if he has 5,000 or 500,000. Complete slowroll no question

Who knows, maybe Matusow slow rolled Deeb in the past or one of Deeb's buddies. I'm sure Matusow has done this at some point along the way as well.

If you watch and listen, Matusow claims he would never slow-roll.

Personally, I think slow-rolling is a douche move and a breach of the courtesy and etiquette of the game.

If you listen to the conversation, Deeb said he did it because he thought Matusow wouldn't take it seriously and take it as a joke. But he's an idiot. If they're there socially and having fun, then there's no reason to slow-roll as a joke. It's plain rude. Long time ago, I used to slow-roll a slow-roller and used to get kicks out of it because I used to justify myself that he deserved it anyways. But when I got slow-rolled, it was ugly and very disgusting to the point where if I had met that person in real life, I would knee the **** out of his face. Slow-rolling is not cool. I've slow-rolled slow-rollers, and been slow-rolled and learned the lesson the hard way.

Just recently, about two weeks ago or so, I've been accused of slow-rolling even though I instant-called and rolled over my hand right away after my villain rolled over his hand.

https://www.cardschat.com/forum/general-poker-13/slow-roll-show-your-hand-last-230539/

Even when I had no intentions of slow-rolling and just wanted to get information about the villain, I still got accused of slow-rolling just because I decided to show my hand only if my villain showed his hand first since last raiser of the river shows first.

Mike over reacted IMO, Pretty small pot for these guys and this table seems pretty casual. If this was like a 100k pot or like in a tournament environment its out of line but in this case I thin k Mike over reacted by threatening Shaun
