Ok - so here's a good problem to have...

I had a killer session the other night. Everything was going right. However, I know this means variance is eventually going to swing it's way the other direction. The session I played last night I felt as if the whole time with the expectation I was going to lose, like I knew my results had to cool to return to norm.

Just curious if anyone else has had thought like these. I have a feeling it's just me getting too overly focused on short term results, but now it's just this nagging thought in my head. How do I make it go away?

Nope, when I'm on a heater, I feel confident in everything I do. I feel like I'm going to win every flip, every key pot, and am flat out on my game. Of course in the back of my mind I know this isn't possible, but it isn't something that affects my play.

I've said before when you are thinking to yourself I'm going to lose, you are probably better off not playing and walking away from the tables. Mentally playing with the mentality that you are going to lose WILL affect your play, no doubt about it. Sounds like you just have to work on your mental game which is just as important in poker.

Mark yourself a goal, if you pass it then take it slow or else you might lose it all.

The most important thing is not going tilt.
