I dont know if they still do it anywhere else and it is almost phased out in UK now but being the dealer whilst playing the tourney.... Everyone says poker is rigged but what happens when you are the dealer... like tonite got AA in BB deal them a set AA cracked and 20% of my stack lol then 10 mins later i deal myself out to a straight flush vrs the ultimate...of course he had the ace and i had the 9...
The point of the story poker isnt rigged it dont matter where you are playing the bad beats are still just as bad and when you are dealing them yourself it hurts even more
That doesnt mean that there arent cheating dealers out there too lol :D :D :D

Many feel that the poker is manipulated, but the bad beats are part of the game, complaining does not help, cools the head and goes to the next game. If you notice the live pro players he not to complain too much when they take bad beat, he know that part of the game.

I play a lower range of hands when I'm dealing myself. There's something uncomfortable about playing hands I dealt.

As a pro dealer I absolutely HATE when dealers play, unless it is at a very friendly home game. There is too much to question, and best just not to have to 'deal' with any issues. This is why most poker players accept a 'rake' - to be able to pay to not have issues and to try to ensure a more honest game.

But in those home games, yea it hurts like hell
