This sounds right. Does the floor have to decide this or can the dealer just do it? So basically *bump* dealer flips over 9 cards from the top of the deck in the middle of the betting round. Dealer takes cards and reshuffles the deck… Betting is continued and flop continues as normal.
Second senario - Flop comes out and there are 4 cards. All 4 cards are placed back in the deck, reshuffled and new flop is dealt. This sounds like what you just said but just wanted to confirm. Are you a dealer or did you see this happen?
