I recently built a bankroll at coolhandpoker from $0 to $97. I did this at first in the freerolls, then small buy in MTTs. I found it easier to have the account auto log- in when I would open the site.
My children had one of their friends over the other night and thought it would be cool to play CASINO, they took the $97 and playing slots got it up to $157 and then started playing $10 per pull and proceeded to lose all my money down to .04,
I now use the password for everything. Lesson learned!

My thoughts exactly. Lock them in the attic until they turn 18. Make the world a safer place. You know it makes sense.

I like the idea of locking them up, however, she would have been out of the attic 8 years ago. I guess I should have been more specific about the term "children". You would think as "Adults" they would know better.
This happened at 1 AM as I was sleeping. As I said, Lesson learned!

Your 26 (?) year old daughter and her friends went on your poker account, and lost all your money? OK the problem isn't not watching the children or locking them up til they are 18, but morals or something. I know I wouldn't go into my dads bank account and transfer myself all his money. Nor if he played poker would I go and use any of it. I guess everyone is different.

I concur, she definitely ought to. We all assumed this was childish mischief, but now I see that she is an adult and should know better. Disgraceful, imo.

haha damn. yeah, saving passwords is a no-no. probably...10 yrs back or so (and i know this doesn't solve poker software issues)...i got so tired of my brother and sister getting on my computer and messing everything up that i took windows off of it and put linux on it instead...next time they got on, all they saw was a black and white screen that said "login: " on it. they were, unjustly, upset at me

Now a password is needed to get on the computer. Just a part o the solution. The other is reteaching some ethics and courtesy

Nice idea...lol

But I have some objection, so I think you must develop such great talent of your children. Learn they to play poker, may be they are future world's champions... lol

And keep your paroles away from children! ;)

The point about not using auto log-in is a good one, especially when a pc is shared or people can fire up your computer when you are not around. The 6-20 digit password isn't too difficult to punch in each time we want to play. The convenience of auto's has made us all somewhat lazy really which is fine when money or important stuff isn't involved. Worth keeping in mind.

As for the adult daughter thing, well, adults behave badly at times too. It seems in this case that a friend was the main culprit, another adult I assume. Improper conduct is not restricted to kids, also, improper conduct by an individual or group, does not mean they were/are incorrectly brought up. It's just stuff that happens from time to time and is mostly not planned but just "happens". Glad you got your $$$ back as it was the least you could expect from this episode and it's a good warning to us all when dealing with passwords. Even the golden child/adult can have a blip.

I think the lesson here is patience & thought before action, my solution would have forced you to try to retrieve your money from the friends estate.

Yes, people on parole should definitely stay away from other people's children.

that is exactly the point, use passwords, which was lost amongst the rediculousness of the fact of what happened

After your kids turn 18, it's legal to beat them. Buy a bull whip.. threats usually help.
