I haven’t been here for a while, sorry about that. This year has been a nightmare. Financially I’m not down, which is obviously a good start but I’ve made no real progress in terms of growing on earning. This whole year I’ve had days like the following

Day 1: +45
Day 2: +20
Day 3: +60
Day 4: -150

Over and over again.

I’d convinced myself to quit SnG play and attempt to dominate ring. Simply put, that’s not what I want to do and not where my poker passion is.

I’m here to play/grind turbo STT SnGs. I recently joined SnG Grinders and am in the process of going through their library of videos to better my own game.

I’ve wanted, for ages, to be able to give something back to the CardsChat community but with such an skilful and successful member list already contributing so much, I felt my thoughts/ideas would go unheard, justifiably so in my opinion.

I hope, when I’m at a stronger more successful level, to be able to give my help back specifically to anyone wishing to improve their STT SnG play by the way of blogging, articles and live videos.

But for now, it’s one thing at a time. When I’m on you’ll find me playing 4 $12 tables @ FT and 8 $6.5 games @ stars if I’m multi-tabling. If I’m on 1 table, I’ll be playing upto $55 games.

See you at the tables.

Hope everyone is doing well, I have lots to catch up on.

Welcome back and I look forward to reading your exploits although I'm not much for turbos these days. I prefer the 2-table SNGs if I am grinding out games.

Are you sticking to proper bankroll management at all? cause maybe that might be the only reason why your taking such a roller coaster ride!
{just my opinion}-----
i've never seen you play so i dont know much more than that..
But if i can be any help at all just give me a holler.
I've been going thru quite a few Clips and videos myself to better my game play. Alot of the stuff i'm learning from is very helpful.
I hope everything works out for you, and try to keep in touch!
Good luck on the felt!

Good work and thanks for the comment. I think the soul crushing experince I had early this year has tought me how harsh these games can be and how to deal with massive downswings. If I can get though that and back up, I'm on my way.

Please do update, u know I'm a blog-a-holic, love reading updates, good or bad, always nice to know where everyone is at on an individual level, then be able to share feedback.

In fact WV, I demand an update from you within 1 week? You can do it :)

If you're going to play $38's regularly 2% is honestly bankroll suicide. There are enough regs that basically have icm pretty perfectly down that your edge is small. (you mentioned the best are 5-6% roi). 100 buy-in swings are not out of the ordinary for single-table turbos at that level. If you're playing the $16's you probably have a big enough edge that you don't need to be as cautious but imo even 50 buy-ins is not big enough if you plan on making a living out of it if you'll be playing the $38's. Good luck either way though and definitely do what you're more comfortable at and enjoy more, don't just play cash because you think you should. It is definitely possible to make good money at sngs if you can handle the swings.

Ta for the words Zach. You raise a good point about BR suicide. 1 point I wasn't clear on was that 80-85% of my play is multi-tabling, where i have at least 200BI for that game. The larger games played 1 at a time with a 50BI rule are rare atm. I find on a personal level, when I do single table a SnG, my results are quite high as I am able adopt a counter-strategy against the regs who are playing 4-20 talbes at a time. But to multi-table using a 50BI rule, wouldn't last a month.

I know how many times I've asked you for advice regarding ring, if you ever play a SnG let me know, although I suspect hell may freeze over before you go back to them :D :D :D

lol well end of the month last month I 30-tabled the 38's and 27's for a few rounds to get fpps until I realized that just playing FR cash I got more fpps/hour and that every time I played turbos I went on life tilt :p.
