A curious scene: A professional player playing multi-tabling at the same time online and live at BSOP Punta del Este, Paraguay.

This is ridiculous. If you are playing live, your attention should be on the people and cards at the live table. Not only is it disrespectful, if people are waiting on you, but you are missing out on some important info on other players. I get annoyed when people have ADD like this.
FOCUS!

From the look of his stack compared to the others, doing this is not helping his game.

I had a guy next to me doing this. A saw a guy at another table playing chess on a tablet, and two guys at my table were watching movies. Another guy was just sitting out writing and eating dinner.

The dealers seemed ok with this as long as they blinded them in and they didn't slow the game down.

Ever since they started allowing phones at the tables I have seen this. Movies, App games and texting. It appears that these people are bored by playing poker. We've become so overloaded with stimuli that simply being present at a table interacting with others is not enough for some people. I personally like interacting with others at the table, then some times I like to listen to music in one ear and just watch everyone. You can learn a lot even if you are not in the hand. What happened to human interaction? Kids these days seem to be nearly void of this concept, but that's another topic....

Can online game allows him to hide the emotions of offline table? Ignoring it less nervous?

To a lot of online grinders that are used to 8, 12, 24 tabling, playing live is very boring.

George Danzer was 2 tabling the PLO and Razz according to a tweet of his at the wsop. Not sure how that ranks but Razz with anything has to be a bit of a wig twister at best.

Thats just stupid and disrespectful for the other players. Some rules should be made by organisators to stop this stuff its a lack of fairplay and wont take much and soon will see maybe a bunch of mexicans gathered to sing a serenade during the game or wherever other craps cand ppl think about

At Club 52, the only purveyor of poker in reasonable driving distance to me (however there is another within only SOMEWHAT unreasonable driving distance but I digress) the rule is you can't have you're phone out while you're involved in a hand. I think if you're still on your phone and preflop action gets to you, your hand is mucked.

Yeah, I'm not sure about this...

Personally, when I'm playing a big tournament online I like to have something on the side such as a movie, music or another game to stop myself getting bored and therefore tempted to play marginal hands for the entertainment. However, I do also find that it's better for my game to focus on how people are betting and what cards they played in certain hands. If you are multitasking you're less able to do this.

Live play is different though and I don't think this is good!

this is a very formal event and in several players, can be used to save the emotions of live tournaments and also serves to contro0lar the online tournament controlled more attention

I've already saw this a lot!
Those people must be careful to not get negligent with the live game or will be punished.

I respect your opinion and I understand his reasoning, but I don't disrespect.
Poker is a tiring game, if you have distractions, you can have better performances. I for example, I play 2 or 3 poker tournaments and watch television or I hear music. All at once. The fact that few stacks, it hasn't relation to the fact that he was playing online poker

It's my opinion.

Best regards

I agree, allowing electronics at the table was wrong.

You just know that soon they will allow cameras recording all the table action and displaying hud stats; because QuoteyFingers it is part of the (online) game QuoteyFingers.

And old school poker skills and etiquette will continue to be eroded by modernity and 'progress'.

The day they allow HUDs in live games is the day I call off ALL my plans to succeed at poker, or even play it.
