Cruise Ship Poker

I was all ready to play some poker aboard a cruise ship. My dad turned 70 years old and mom had all of the kids together and went on this week long cruise. A huge surprise for him of course.
So my brother Mickey and I are ready to play some poker, we go into the casino and there is only one table playing Texas Holdem. This one guy is sitting there going all in every hand. Wiping everyone out, playing every hand. If someone would win a hand he would get the money back the next time the opponent played a hand.
I was of course looking on in disgust. He looks at me and says "have a seat and play some poker, or are you chicken"?
I replied, "I don't see any poker playing going on here, no thanks.
So that kind of sucked real bad. lol At least I got to hang out with our dad and all of the other relatives.

I played on a cruise before. They had the electronic table PokerPro I think it was. There seemed to be the same group playing the entire cruise and as you stated, there was no poker being played. The rake was ridiculous too.

There were some real poker players there who, on there own, quietly went off to the cigar room and got true game going. That was much more fun and got to meet some good people.

Keep that in mind for future reference

Man, I had not even thought about that. I am sure it had to of happened, I couldn't have been the only one ready to play on that whole ship. I will tell my brother, and let him kick me. Then I get to kick him. lol

usually in such places the professionals play and to win them in poker is very difficult I wouldn't have to play with them

i wouldn't play on a cruise ship id rather be at the buffet lol

never know what you will find aboard a cruise ship casino. never had much luck

Cruise ships have a very good basic rule: "Pok'er in the back but liqueur in the front" if you catch my drift! [emoji6]
