I have played mainly live cash games in casinos. 1-3 no limit holdem and usually make a profit doing so. I have recently started playing online at Betonline and i really like the tournament holdem but i haven't been getting the results i thought i would. Maybe I'm being to aggressive early possibly. Was just wanting some opinions on some strategies that others use and what seems to get you in more cashes in the online tournaments?

Cash Game and Tournament Game poker is extremely different skillsets with different strategies. Plus online is extremely different skillset than live. If I were you I would only try to adjust to 1 of those at a time. First, start out with the game you're good at, cash game, and try that online. Then, when you get used to seeing how other people play cash game online, delve into learning how to play tournaments online.

A lot of people on here could give you pointers on how to play a tournament differently than a cash game, but before you even start learning that, I would recommend learning online cash game as opposed to live cash game.

I Think not so it turns out in online because people play on computers and use it simultaneously for calculation of chances of hands of equity and so on and the most important are statistics on other players, a style of game of a catcher of a flush and so on, why it was possible to live better The answer is simple in the casino with the computer hold on

You switched at 180 degrees from live cash to online tournaments. I would recommend to first play some micro cash online if you are used to cash so that you can more easily adapt to the change from live to online. After that you can also start playing tournaments to adapt to them also. MTT and cash are much different.

I believe that cash games are very difficult when compared to tournaments. In tournaments, the most important thing to be patient and then in the long run you will be a successful player.

Adaptation to an online game is an easy process; in order to speed it up, you can watch streamer games. The blessing in YouTube is a lot of them.
The strategy of the game in cash and tournaments is different is a fact!
Here self-study may take some time, but it is better to consult a competent player.
Good luck to you.

Don't over play small pairs, and change gears on the bubble would be my best stright forward advice.

I would start playing small tournaments and try to work my way up. If you are just getting into tournaments . Maybe try to find some books. Harrington on Holdem tournaments might be good entry level book for someone playing micros. That style of play is dated , you need to learn to change up your game .

I think that for the beginning, in the tournaments you should play cautiously and only with good cards. With experience, understanding will come and you will be able to choose for yourself your own unique style of play.
