Hey guys,

1. Today I found out that I have rakeback on an old FT account; and now I'm considering a move. I always liked their software much better than Stars', they have lower rake on the HUSNGs and, fwiw, have almost the same player base. Plus I have RB there.

2. I am also considering of becoming a HU player, but since there aren't any cash games for my level, I'd have to play the HUSNGs for now. I now that's not the most brilliant of ideas, also I'm not all that good playing shortstacked, but at least I'll get a lot of HU experience.

I really don't know if I'll be better of just grinding it out at the 6-max tables or depositing some more (and probably get crushed at $50 NL HU) and playing HU cash or... I really don't know. If anybody has some clue, please, chime in.

So, please advise on 1 and 2 and, depending on the answers, I'll need someone to move my roll from PS to FT (about $70).

Cheers!

I've been thinking about Full Tilt too but one thing which is putting me off is the number of posts I've seen (mainly on 2+2) complaining that 'FT took my bankroll and won't reply to my emails' and the like. It seems they have the worst customer support around.

Yeah, I don't think I'll have a problem with FT taking my BR, lol. Ofc it can happen to everyone, but mostly it happens to shady colluders.

Plus, my nickname there is way cooler than my PS' one. :D That's always +EV

i'd say you need a BR of at least $2k++ to be rolled for 50NL HU cash

I like FT and starz, but since I don't put in a huge amount of volume the points system @ starz isn't as appealing to me as the RB I get @ FT, so I tend to play there more. Just my opinion, but the games seem a little tougher at FT, but I play a lot of fixed-limit stuff, so it may be different for NLHE. Also, I wouldn't recommend just jumping into 50NL HU with a $70 roll - either grind it up or deposit more.

Haha, no, I'd never jump to $50 NL with $70 in my account. I don't even think I should deposit, since I'm very new to the game. I'll probably be able to beat $10 NL and maaaaybe $25 NL, but $50 NL, and HU at that - just not yet. Maybe in a couple of months I might get my feet wet with a couple of HU matches. But not earlier than that.

I'll just stick to deep stacked non-turbo HUSNGs for now. That's, AFAIK, the closest thing to a HU cash game.

Well, HU cash and HU SNG are very very very different. HU Cash players are usually crushed terribly at SU SNG , because some correct HU SNG plays while shallow-stacked look very wrong to the deepstack HU cash player :D

I personally find pokerstars more attractive and easier to navigate around. For some reason fulltilt just annoys me. As for HU, I'd be inclined to play the SnG's at either site, it's usually the same 10% rake and I've considered grinding out some 6max to build a bigger roll to play cash HU cash as it seems much more interesting and fun.

If you can afford a bigger deposit then do that, however if you feel your HU game isn't up to scratch then you will just be throwing your money away so stick to the low limit SnG's to get more experience.

Yeah, I watched some video over at 2p2 and the guys explained, in great detail at that, how strange some of the shallow stacked moves locked to experienced HU cash players. They gave as an example aejones, who tried a $5,500 like it's nothing, got crushed, and said they were all donks who "are absolutely terrible with all stack sizes". Which, ofc, isn't true. He just didn't understand their techniques.

But, FWIW, deep stacked HUSNGs are really to my liking. You start with 150bb, which is a far cry from the normal 75. Me and a friend have been playing live HU for ages, and it has a similar structure to these. So I have some experience :D

Мерси за съвета, Пафка :D

(HU is definitely the most challenging form of poker. It's the most profitable too.)

If you can afford a bigger deposit then do that, however if you feel your HU game isn't up to scratch then you will just be throwing your money away so stick to the low limit SnG's to get more experience. (I can make another deposit, but, as you said it yourself, I'll be just throwing money away, at least for now. I'll try and build my roll either from HUSNGs or from multitabling 6-max.)

the only time full tilt freezes accounts are for legitimate reasons, the people who are complaining about poor customer support and the likes are mostly rule breakers and liars (not all of them)

I wanted to ask their support people a question, so I emailed them. The reply started with "Hello Joshua." My name is not Joshua! :D

I've been sending emails to Full Tilt support for four days straight, and have received only automated acknowledgements of receipt. Maybe their support people were so bad they fired them all and are hiring new ones.

I've never had a problem with FTP, although I've never had a huge issue such as missing funds or anything. The times I HAVE gotten with FTP for things such as voided tourneys or collusion, they've always responded well for me.
