Yeah, I watched some video over at 2p2 and the guys explained, in great detail at that, how strange some of the shallow stacked moves locked to experienced HU cash players. They gave as an example aejones, who tried a $5,500 like it's nothing, got crushed, and said they were all donks who "are absolutely terrible with all stack sizes". Which, ofc, isn't true. He just didn't understand their techniques.
But, FWIW, deep stacked HUSNGs are really to my liking. You start with 150bb, which is a far cry from the normal 75. Me and a friend have been playing live HU for ages, and it has a similar structure to these. So I have some

If you can afford a bigger deposit then do that, however if you feel your HU game isn't up to scratch then you will just be throwing your money away so stick to the low limit SnG's to get more experience. (I can make another deposit, but, as you said it yourself, I'll be just throwing money away, at least for now. I'll try and build my roll either from HUSNGs or from multitabling 6-max.)
