Confidence : An important factor in Successful players?

I have studied many players what seperates them from the rest of players is their supreme confidence in themselves. and whatever unfortunate events befalls them they crawl back to the top again and again.. is it their confidence?

I think confidence is a very important factor. Knowledge of game strategy, math, reads, etc. play a large role - but all of that feeds into confidence.

It can be hard to make correct plays when you are not confident in your game.

Its just your confidence even if you loose a game with QQ Or A and set your mind that you'll make it back. you will cause you have that confidence in you.

It's uncertainty. It's stubborn. Maybe they were born in the year of the donkey))). And maybe they have a rigid plan!!!

I think -- emotional control and discipline.

friend, if you play poker and you do not have confidence, you better look for another game, then. poker beyond trust has to be lucky as well.

I think every successful person has a certain confidence in themselves.A wise man once told me that losers look for reasons(why they lose) and winners look for answers(how to win),,,,

Confidence and skill are two important factors to be a good player.We need to be confident on ourselves and believe on our hand.

you can be confident and lose with bad cards, and you can win with good cards without being confident. when two people self-confident, to win the one with the hands is longer

In my opinion, the two key factors of a successful player are patience and discipline. Confidence comes with experience. In order to gain experience, you must be a disciplined and patient player. Good luck.

I fully agree with you my friend, we have to always exercise the ability to overcome, to raise our head and to be able to return to the good level of play and avoid tilt.

Trust is fundamental, it is necessary for the player to be aware that there is always a chance that things will go wrong at some point.

These results can not shake the player. Let's assume that AA's chance of winning QQ is 80%. In that case, it is expected that at least 2 times in ten plays the AA will lose.

If you are not confident in your ability to take down and win a big tournament you need to study more and start believing in yourself good luck.

Confidence is crucial when you are taking decision at table. it is also comes from the experience and watching carefully on the opponents playing strategy. I do agree with this point.

Confidence is important for being succesful in anything including poker. If we dont believe we can do something then we probably cant. Tell yourself you can do it and your mind will find a way to make it happen.

If you go to the tables thinking your gonna do bad or lose then you probably will. You gotta have guts to make them important decisions especially when your sitting on mid pair or something an someone raises before you and you decide to come over the top. they might call but for you to keep pushing after flop especially if it dont look that bad takes confidence/guts. Poker to me anyways is kinda playing a role if you seen how i am in real life and how i am at the tables you would see two different people. I always go into a game thinking i can beat everyone there. not always the case and sometimes it gets me in trouble but in the long run i think i do better
