Hey guys, I have decided to start playing poker again. I haven't played since April of 2011. I lost 3k back in april so I decided to give it a rest. I found my biggest problem to losing money was when I went on a tilt. I would lose money and i would just keep chasing it and chasing it. I just need some helpful tips to control a tilt. When should I stop? What are some good blinds to start at?

Have any US players used betonline.com?

Thanks a lot for your time.

Play tourneys, you'll only ever lose the BI. If you insist on playing cash games though not really anything you'll find someone on a forum say that will stop you tilting. Not tilting is a part of poker. If you tilt and lose money then frankly you lack one of the key assets of a successful poker player and that is most likely how it will stay. The only thing to do is accept you will lose money and play because you like the game or quit the game.

I can't imagine making the decision to come back to poker after losing $3,000! My advice is maybe invest $100 dollars to start playing and play low stakes or sitn'goes until you build a bankroll. Do not risk big money and risk losing even more. Just not worth it!

Whatever you decide to deposit,
read up on bankroll management (BRM).
Plenty of info on here.
Stick to stakes determined by your bankroll (BR).
If you don't use good BRM (unless you are extremely lucky)
you will eventually go bust. (variance).
Enjoy the game and
good luck.

BRM is everything. And you should play only limit you're comfortable with.

I would recommend you to start on smaller blinds until your confidence and playing skill will be back.

Try to set a goal. Try to play with bankrollmanagement (30bi).If you loose more than 4bi, go do something else, watching a movie or go to the gym.
