Collusion

Hi guys.

I was playing a 6max pokerstars tourney yesterday. When 7 left, we were sitted at 2 tables.

On my table, 4 players. At the other one, the remaining 3 players passed all the "FT bubble" time trading chips with each other while we fight at my table.

The blinds was going to player A, then B, then C, in a sequence, for a long time.

It is a collusion?? (I noticed PS)

I finished on 4th.

If its a collusion, what happens with the money paid to players A, B, and C? Is distributed to the others 4 players?

Yes. It happens. Usually it is players from the same country. Just to prove it's impossible.

collusion does happen I have had a payment from a poker room with a attached email saying there was collusion at one of the tables I was playing on, it was a cash game and I got my money returned, I don't know how the poker rooms deal with tournaments though

im sure it has happened to me but ive never noticed it in any cash games ive played in,but like i said,im sure it has,,,its sad that some people have to stoop to such lows to make a few dollars,,,shame.

ps.. The player on the 2nd place said in portuguese on the chat "eu sou brasileira" (i am brazilian)

But I think the money I earn after all is not okay, I was wondering 15+ from adjustment.

Hi Meagain,

I see what you are saying, but I think you may have run into gamesmanship rather than collusion. You would have to prove collusion beyond a shadow of a doubt. For example, chat logs showing the players saying "Let's check it down". It is entirely likely that the other table went cold as all get out and the players were just overly nitty.

The main factor in collusion here would be the buy-in level. If it was micro, might I suggest looking at the positive side of the game. Not everyone out there is cheating. In reality, some people are just too stupid to capitalize on a 3-handed table at the FT bubble.

If you are referring to a bigger buy-in tourney, you may have run into folks who know how to make a final table without having to mention it to each other.....or in other words, gamesmanship.

If they were chatting about it, the only recourse is to report the players to the site.

I would worry more about these things in larger tourneys. The way to combat these players is to slow down just like them and then pick them apart when the tables combine.

You didn't mention the part about them chatting about it. Since that is the case, it sounds pretty cut and dry to me. Since you were given additional money, perhaps their funds were distributed to all the player in the game. I don't know, but I'll bet if you call ACR, they could enlighten you.

I never thought about this problem ... but I think it might be possible a situation like this ... I think PS control does not cover this type of situation but it is important to be aware!

If you have chat log - indeed, that`s collusion !
At 100%. And if you`re pure & fair player - nothing matte where they from (from your country or from other) !
You must to report about it - to Support.
Let that kind of `players` - play then, but only at their kitchen ! Not in fair society.

Yes there half at least play together, he himself noticed and more than once, so this is a fact, and I think not what can not be done about it.
