I have spent the last 3 or so weeks deeply studying and getting coaching from a very successful poker player. I knew I wasn't horrible at the game but I knew I could get a lot better faster. It can be a little expensive but I have been making more at lower levels than I have at 50nl and my play and results have been more steady. I know that it has only been about 3 weeks but there is still so much to learn and I cant wait to see how far I can go once I am able to handle 50nl the same way I am 25nl.

That's great! Listening to other pro's opinions about your play is VERY important. Sometimes we can't see leaks in our own games but when you consult with a pro or other good & experienced poker players we can find things that we could've done better in our game.

Having a coach or friend review your hand history and hear what they would've done differently is very helpful. Trying different things and broadening your style and view on the game will make you a much more versatile player.

I congratulate you if I could train with a professional poker player, because they are very clear about many things, not only at theoretical but by experience, luck and keep improving.

In my situation, we have open discussions about new game theory and other things. It is not alot of math in the game but he gives me certain tasks to improve my game and also instructs me on leaks and weaknesses in my game. Much to my surprise he was able to spot alot of my weaknesses just by discussing a few hands.
