CNBC aired the online poker segment of their series on illegal gambling last night. It reviewed online sportsbetting history, interviews with Jay Cohen and a review of the cheating scandal on UB & AB with interviews. It concluded with an update on the current legislation. I think it was an interesting show and presented fairly. I would be very interested in what other cardschat members thought of this program.

I thought they could have done a better job with the AP/UB part....Was that former world champ the one who was actually playing the game? Or was he just the mastermind behind it? Also how did he have over 100 accounts...Wouldnt UB/AP be able to detect there IP adresses to the huge winners?

From my understanding he never commented on the situation himself but I read that he did have some user names under his name.

I saw this the other day and it was the typical negative, lightly-informed journalism as we saw last time (was it 60 minutes?). Illegal Illegal Illegal BS.

I am pretty sure it was 60 min.
I don't even watch that crap when they put it on those shows. You hit the nail on the head with BS.

It's one of NBC's bastard spawn, it's going to reflect the view they were paid to present.

This program was not on 60 minutes. This segment is on the CNBC news network and should be reaired tonight Saturday, 12/19 at 7PM & Sunday, 12/20 at 10PM. I believe it was a former owner of UB who was also a poker champ who was the mastermind. I will watch it again tonight. From my recollection, this segment presented both sides of the online poker issue.
