Cigarettes, Drinks and Poker

This discussion itself is geared towards consumption of drinks and cigarettes during poker games, in some casinos it is allowed, in my opinion drinking a drink morely helps to relax and makes less timid giving the opportunity to make more courageous plays, as well as the Cigarette also, I do not advise anyone to do this, but I want to know about your opinion?-benzóico.

a drink actually help my game a little bit, and gives me a bit of a table image.. i make sure to never go over two drinks, last thing i want to do is spew money.

I've played when drinking and I've played without a drop of alcohol and I think I play quite the same both ways.

what casinos do you know that allow smoking at the tables?

its common at some Michigan casinos to smoke at the table.

Yes, actually, for the first time now i think about it and usually I really am better when having 1-2 drinks and i smoke so cigarettes ofcourse I would play bad if Im not allowed to smoke and need to smoke. Never heard of casinos where you cant smoke or drink. In every casino in Bulgaria they actually give you as many free drinks as you want while you play(coffe, coke, beer, vodka, whisky, enything you want) and an ashtrasher and in most casinos they sell cigarettes inside, so you wouldnt have to get out of the casino. :elefant:

for me is the same , I prefer to play without smoking but drink soda while playing is the best and eating doritos or drink a cup of coffee is very good

Smoking relaxes me ... but drinking makes me lose concentration

Most of the time playing poker online and in breaks I usually smoke a cigarette, sometimes when I lose one hand in a less ugly way and with alcohol is harder, I often lose focus and refuse to consume during the game.

Alcohol is not, you lose more than you do not dare. Strong coffee and a cigarette, tea juice.

Depends on the person and if you drink regularly while playing. Also if you have a high tolerance it takes more before it starts affecting your game. Example I drink when I play live regularly (about 95% of the time) and I'm a winning player at $1/$2 and $2/5.

cigarettes on break can give you a positive relief, in my opinion

I don't drink very much but I do believe that there should be games for everyone and that should include smoking and non smoking environments.

Everyone has their own tastes.
but I think it's bad, it harms to your health

I think every person has his tastes and his way of playing, for example some people like me relax the music and makes me stay calm and relax, as others may like to drink alcohol or smoke, that does not define how good Player you are and much less if you can get the victory. I think everything is in concentration, patience, calm, and good luck!

Depending on the type of drink, an example is in the movie Casino Royale, played by Daniel Craig who takes a very smooth Vesper Martini, the important thing is that you drink a quality drink, so the focus will be on the game and not the scratched throat.

I dont like to drink but when Im playing online I like to smoke weed It makes me more careful and able to play slow and not to make stupid things

I don't find it bad to smoke a cigarette or take a drink during the game, if you want to relax, go ahead, but I don't think that you will be aable to play your A-game.

I do not like it very much, I have to be realistic, it's very personal and it goes from person to person. I do not particularly like it, but there are people I like

I believe that alcohol and cigars not only harm your health but also significantly reduce your chances of success when you play at poker tables! You need to live soberly and win, too)

Thanks God I stopped smoking years ago , or else I would smoke like crazy while playing online all these hours many many ciggarettes . Now I try to stop drinking

On the topic , I think it should be the right of every player to smoke or not , I think most smoke , smoking helps relaxing , one two drinks the same , but more have the oppossite effect , and not many ciggarettes like I used to !!!

I totally disagree with having some drinks while playing poker.
