Yeah, the GSIH method has been done to dead by a lot of people though. Nowadays, I'm wary of short stacks who open push. You might not get a lot of calls. Frankly, it's a boring way to play poker, if you're playing at all.
I tried it a few times, works when there's some clueless fish calling your open push with K9s against your AA.
I guess if you're on
pokerstars, with $5, try it on the 0.01/0.02 NL and build it up to a substantial level and start playing real poker. It's really a 'system' for beginners with zero post-flop skills, to cut their teeth on.
P.S. I tried it when I was at empire poker, clearing my $50 bonus. I was 4-tabling with 20-25BB stack each, and basically folded everything 'cept for AA-QQ, AK. Raise Preflop, get a few callers and pushed on the flop. Sometimes I open push if there's a raise in front too. Once I drop below 15BB, I reload to the minimum.
