In a recent MTT game I was struck by the sometimes huge variance between one hand and and the next as to how many chips end up in the pot.
The hands that triggered this thought was a hand that had a rash of raises and re-raises that ended up in a flurry of all-ins which ended up involving six players (not me I must add).
The next hand went round with a few people bidding and no higher than a 2BB with hardly any chips in the pot at the show.
The "winner" in the first hand would have boosted their chip stack massively but in the sencond hand the winner (me ) scarcely had enough chips to cover the next round of blinds. And before anyone does the "you should be more aggressive to win chips" routine, you can't make other players anti up if they feel they have squat.
The more I see, the less I know...
