Hi guys, I haven't posted for a while but have one or two questions for the home gamers!
I'm buying myself a chip set - a good one! Any suggestions? I have a full clay set but only a cheapo one. £35 from Asda if I remember rightly. I have my eye on a great looking one from CardShark, really eye catching colours and good heavy clay chips. Anyone have any experience of buying from these guys? Look like good products but not cheap. Hoping the quality is there as well as the design.
Also, I want some 100% plastic playing cards, but don't really fancy paying £10 a pack - any GOOD budget ones about? Not interested in plastic coated, they last two games before obvious markings through general wear and tear begin to ruin play.
Cheers folks. Kev. :D

amazon is your best bet for some good COPAG / KEM playing cards, im sure you can get them for like a fiver, plus they will last ages! and i think ive seen the chip set you're on about on cardshark with all the nice chips, they do look stunning yeah but a bit pricey arent they? Suppose you would only have to buy them once, and they do look sexy!

Good call on the Amazon suggestion, I was trying to remember some of the names - COPAG is the one that was on the tip of my tongue!
Yea if Santa doesn't fetch those chips I think I'll be investing in the new year. Anyone in the North West of England is welcome to pop round for a game - I'm determined to get my moneys worth if I'm shelling £275 notes out! :p

If you're going to spend that kind of money on chips and such do some research. http://www.chiptalk.net has forums full of knowledge about chips.

I had a custom set of ceramics made with the help of an artist from CT and I spent less than what you're considering.

As for cards, http://caragails.com/
