LONDON (AFX) - BetonSports PLC's chief executive David Carruthers has been detained by US federal authorities while changing flights in the US en route from the UK to Costa Rica.

This could be the start of big things to come

It surprises me that he would even try stepping foot in the U.S. I thought he's been a wanted man for years...the government acts as if he is Kevin Mitnick. . .back in the day. It also surprises me that he would come into the U.S., especially now, because he recently made comments stating prohibition doesn't work, the Senate will fail to pass the bill, and regulation is necessary.

Yea this thing has blown way out of control, they want $4.3 billion off of him now.

I wonder if he is 1 of the 2 people/corperations the US Department of Justice recently announced an indictment for operating an illegal, off-shore gambling website.

Isn't any worst then the Ceo of Coors(not completely sure) getting arrested for drunk driving.
